Amanda and I went to Doylestown today, and my truck got hit while it was parked. We were in town for something that cannot be discussed publicly on TW, and Amanda had gone back to the truck because she was cold; I was right around the corner at the event.

I still had the hitch-hauler on the truck from my scrap run, and a woman in a Jetta (may have been a Passat) was parking behind my truck. It was dark, she didn’t see the hitch-hauler, and she drove right into it. The impact was intense enough that poor Amanda thought she was about to be pushed into the Ram pickup parked in front of my truck. The woman in the VW was very apologetic, but even though hitch-hauler was bent a little bit, my dad and I decided to let it go (it’s actually my dad’s hitch-hauler). The thing is over 20 years old and has seen better days, plus on another more positive note the impact seems to have bent the thing in such a way that it no longer scrapes the driveway! I took this picture at the scene right after it happened…

    Shit happens.
We can either live with it, or make a deal out of it.

I'm with you and your dad.
No big deal. It was an accident. And the woman was apologized.

It could be worse. Someone backed into the front of my brothers truck last week.
It busted the bumper, and some how they got hooked on the front tow hicth.
They literrly PULLED the tow hook off the truck.

    Yeap, they just left.
    No sorry note, no nothing.
    People can suck.

And I also leaned. The front tow hooks on a a 2013-2017 Ram are a SHITTY design.
They are only really held on by ONE bolt. the two front ones pretty much just hold it up.
So all the force is on ONE bolt.

One thing I love about living in a house with the woods directly behind it is that Jack-O-Lanterns don’t go to waste; I leave them out there for the deer instead of throwing them away!

The ovens have a handy cool-down feature that utilizes the convection fan to rapidly cool them off…

Unfortunately, unlike most residential ovens, these are not self-cleaning. I guess you could all them clean-it-yourself…

Buick Roadmaster; the mortician told me it was a 1996 (which would mean it has the LT1), but after looking closer at the pics, I believe to be a 1991-1993…
