Deer hunting BS thread

Open season on spoiled kids who never get punished for doing fucked up shit like this. Therefore I proclaim open season on Shitty Spoiled Kids, no bag limit.

 

I had the opportunity to see a Huge Rack from a Kansas Buck one year at my taxidermist. The main beam had to have been bigger around than my wrist. Would have made a formidable war club for an Indian 200 years ago.

 

My owl alarms were busy last night.
Deer, Yotes, and a second Bear in as many days.
This one is good sized and about 25 yards from my ladder setup on the other side of the stone wall.

I don't know and I've been doing this a long time, but it's a bit unsettling walking out back in the dark with an unloaded crossbow with these guys cruising around.
I know they climb, but I almost feel safer sitting in a tree than a ground blind.
They generally avoid ya,but...

Nice sized one and agree with the sneaking in before sunrise. Always carry my three five seven during archery season.....

 

Pretty slow here had couple pics of a doe late evening yesterday then nothing big other than a rabbit this morning.

 

Ct prohibits carrying a sidearm during archery, but...I'll leave that there.

Pretty much same for me. My exception is id like a big doe or 2.5yr old or older buck

Funny thing is my friend who lives here shot a lot of bucks over the years ( much bigger bucks than I ever got ) and tells me I have to wait for something huge and old . But he comes out with me Monday shoots an 8 pointer and before even looking for it shoots another one 20 minutes later . Never found any blood from first deer . Small amount on the bolt with some hair . Plus he wounded a bigger buck last week with his compound bow then gives me shit for every deer I kill . Oh it’s only 2.5 years old .He should be happy for me . So I’m done here ,not coming back . I’ve known this guy since we were 14-15 but he is just miserable. Todays deer : a lowly 2.5 year old
