The local animal shelter took in 70 animals (mostly dogs) last week. I heard last evening that they are looking for people to help socialize the dogs. Today isn't going to work, but I guess I know what I'm going to do tomorrow.

I do so love an ambush meeting first thing in the morning…
Log on, check my calendar, nothing. Go make coffee, come back, and oh look I’m late for a meeting that wasn’t there 10 minutes ago. Sigh…

Those are the one's I will skip based on principle. Lack of planning on your part is not an emergency on my part.

Good morning, its a bit nippy out there. It got below the freezing point last night. I might have to fire up the woodstove today to get some heat back into the hut.

Yesterday as I was finishing tightening the last 10mm bolt on the fan shroud the socket came off of the extension and had 2 metallic * clank clanks* and disappeared into the next dimension of space and time. It didn't hit the catch pan full of coolant and I didn't see it on the cardboard under the truck, so it's hidden somewhere in the chassis. *sigh*

nothing to "LIKE" about this, but I clicked it anyone just to acknowledge that I understand them all too well.

Are you guys still independent? Or are you part of the Wisconsin Humane Society? I used to volunteer in Green Bay, but when they were taken over, they canceled “drop in” hours so I had to pull the plug. I never understood why they did that.

I don't know much about Calumet County. My neighbor, who told me about the situation, said that normally, you'd have to be approved and scheduled. With this number of dogs, they are suspending the rule to get dogs some help, and get them adopted as quickly as possible.

If I approach my job with that philosophy I would do nothing. Ever. Because everything I do is a rush to meet this deadline or that deadline. And this project is six months behind schedule. Or so and so promised the customers I’d have something done by this date and I have no idea how they came up with that idea because they don’t know how to do my job so they can’t possibly estimate when I’ll have something done.
