mine has been garaged since I bought it in 2016 (when I’m home, obviously). I’ve never understood how a lot of people put all their junk in the garage (if they have one) and leave one of their biggest investments to the elements and would-be thieves. I also don’t get people who build a house in a state that gets all 4 seasons including snow and ice and hot summers and they don’t put a garage on it!!! That’s absurd to me. But I digress.
But yeah the roof does get ignored and when it snows when I’m at work I use a broom to sweep the snow off so it doesn’t end up being a lake in the garage. I’m sure Ive done my share of damage that way.
I’ll check into the Maaco option. Probably the sooner the better.

I had bad paint and clear coat damage on both hood and roof. I sanded it, painted it and put a clear coat on myself. Cost me about $150. Not as good has a professional job but I beat on my truck and scratch it often so spending a lot of money on a paint job I'm going to ruin didn't seem like money well spent. The roof was almost starting to rust.

My buddy just retired and started his own detailing company. So I was happy to give him some business. He's been 8 hours detailing and paint correcting interior and exterior. Turned out great!

clutch release bearing has been chirping for a few months now. I've started collecting parts to swap it out for a hydraulic setup. I'm going to go ahead and swap out the clutch too.

Looks great!! I usually think of retired = kicking back and chilling..lol but I get it. I’d be restless if I was retired. It’ll be quite some time before it happens but I wouldn’t mind retiring now either!!

This is the first time since owning the truck. I'm running a lower pressure in the new tires so I need to set the threshold again.

Guess it depends on what ya want to use it for.. personally, this truck is very capable with just a 2-2.5” lift. I like the look better than the high lift… but im all about practicality .. if you know how to wheel, a small lift is very doable unless you are doing like black diamond trails or something lime that. Just my 2 cents..

Yes, you may be right! I don't do much offroad, just a little camping here and there. This is a Prerunner after all. I like the look when lifted, the fact that it's better for going over objects lying on the road and when you encounter flooding. But it brings more difficulty than benefits, for example; vibrations, axle wrap, difficulty to wash it, (I need a ladder, I'm 5.7) the poking tires always throw mud, dirty water, asphalt etc over the doors and fenders. I have arthritis so getting in and out is painful, my wife struggles a bit to get in (a few extra pounds) and my elderly parents have a hard time getting in as well. Even opening and closing the hood is problematic. Not to mention working on the engine bay or jacking it up and putting jack stands on it. Anyway, it's a bunch of little shits that make a big one. All that has improved by 95% however, I hate the positive camber I now have. I used to have the camber at -0.3 before. I can't get that without UCAs.

Paid a muffler shop $35 to have them weld a hole that developed just ahead of my passenger side cat. Sounds right again.

More mods than it should have...
Will share results next week, got a trip planned to the desert. I also don't have any other insulation but when we sleep I have a wool blanket under the air mattress and blankets/sleeping bags on top. Personally, I've never had an issue being cold at night even in snow but the Mrs. has complained about the cold so thought I'd give it a go.
