    New to this website –

I had a broken door handle on the drivers side, followed some tutorials online to replace it with an after market handle – that aftermarket handle was so bad I decided I was better off with the original broken handle I could at least pry up the broken piece to open the door. Reattached it, went fine, the second time I went to use the door I've just got a squishy feeling and I can now no longer open the door from the outside handle OR the inside handle. It is stuck shut.

Not sure how to proceed or how (or if its even possible) to get the door panel off with the door stuck shut to investigate. Everything felt like it clicked back together fine when I put the old handle back on so I'm really not sure what went wrong. Hoping someone here can help.

    Thanks

    A firm^^^^

your going to have to check your work
    Open affected door
    Remove door card again
Make sure window up so u can see the rods/clips

I’m guessing that the bad handle has cracked rod holder(s)
    Or something (clip) not attached

At worst case senario….you have example of how suppose to look/function
(Just have to take off opo door card and document/look how/where rods mount
    GL
    Let us know what happens

How do I open the door to remove the panel though if the door will not open? Maybe I am misunderstanding. The rod holders all seemed sound when I installed it on the interior and exterior pull bars.

I would take the seats out to get easier access to the door panel if at all possible.
Or, you may be able to recline the seat far enough to get the panel off.

    Ok
    Roll down window
    With flash light
    Look for the latch
You will be looking for these 3 latch rods

Ok cool I didn't think I'd be able to access through that window slot, I'll give that a try. Thanks everybody, I'll try it in the daylight tomorrow.
