    Sorry I missed this.
But the cleanup is progressing well, as usual I don't think about pictures. I'm also confined to the pressure washing line. My department got our own station and did 6 bundles on Monday and 10 yesterday. I hope we can do 10 a day that is really good.
On the lunch side we've been getting food from the country sideboard in Marion the past couple of days. Pork chops Monday and BBQ chicken breast and chopped pork BBQ yesterday, filling . Can't wait to see what it is today :hungry:.

    From AlabamaWX

RADAR CHECK: We have rain early this morning over parts of West Alabama… the rest of the state is mostly cloudy. We will have scattered light rain around today, followed by widespread rain statewide tonight and early tomorrow ahead of an upper trough/surface front. North Alabama has potential for around one inch of rain, with amounts of near 1/2 inch for the rest of the state over the next 36 hours.

We also note SPC maintains a low end, marginal risk (level 1/5) of severe thunderstorms for the southwest corner of the state late this afternoon and tonight. Some of the heavier storms there could produce strong, gusty winds. An isolated, brief tornado can’t be ruled out.

Rain will end tomorrow morning from northwest to southeast across Alabama as the front pushes through. Highs will be the 67-71 degree range for most places today and tomorrow.

FRIDAY AND THE WEEKEND: Perfect weather for the Deep South with sunny pleasant days and clear cool nights. Colder spots across North Alabama could reach the mid to upper 30s early Saturday morning, otherwise lows will be in the 40s. The high Friday will be in the mid to upper 60s, then close to 70 Saturday, followed by low to mid 70s Sunday.

NEXT WEEK: A major pattern change is ahead for North America. The ridge that has been keeping the Deep South warm and mostly dry will be replaced by a deep, long wave upper trough. A surface front will bring showers Wednesday, followed by much colder air. Highs drop into the 50s Thursday and Friday, with lows in the 30s for much of North Alabama… See the video briefing for maps, graphics, and more details.

TROPICS: Showers and thunderstorms continue in associated with a broad area of low pressure (Invest 99L) over the central Caribbean Sea. Environmental conditions appear conducive for development, and a tropical depression is likely to form within the next couple of days while the system moves slowly westward into the western Caribbean Sea. Afterward, further development is likely while the disturbance meanders over the western Caribbean Sea through the weekend. The system is forecast begin moving slowly northwestward by early next week. Regardless of development, heavy rains are expected over Jamaica and portions of Haiti during the next day or so.

NHC gives the system a 90 percent chance of development, and most likely it becomes Tropical Storm Sara by the weekend. Most global models suggest Sara could become a hurricane over the southern Gulf of Mexico, and most of the ensemble members bring it into South Florida somewhere south of Tampa Bay by the middle of next week.

Of course, until the system actually develops, gets a good core, and we get dropsonde data from hurricane hunters, we won’t know the track or intensity. Confidence is high (based on the forecast upper air pattern) that this tropical system won’t impact the Central Gulf Coast (Gulf Shores to Panama City Beach).

FOOTBALL WEATHER: A perfect night for high school playoff games Friday night. A clear sky with temperatures falling through the 50s.

Saturday, Auburn hosts LA-Monroe at Jordan-hare Stadium (11:45a CT kickoff)… expect a sun filled sky with temperatures rising from the mid 60s at kickoff, to near 70 by the final whistle.

Saturday, Alabama hosts Mercer (1p CT kickoff) at Bryant-Denny Stadium/Saban Field. The sky will be sunny with temperatures in the 67-70 degree range.

UAB plays at Memphis Saturday night (7p CT kickoff). The sky will be clear with temperatures falling from the low 60s at kickoff into the low 50s by the fourth quarter.

ON THIS DATE IN 1833: In 1833, observers were familiar with the Leonid meteor shower, but the event that year was very intense and leads to the first formulation of a theory on the origin of meteors. By some estimates, the 1833 Leonid meteor shower had 240,000 meteors in a nine-hour period.

Good evening Gentlemen. Just got some 255/80r17 Toyo M/Ts installed and it seems I’m rubbing on my UCAs. Not sure if this is an alignment issue or what. Just got them mounted and a front end alignment today so not sure if I need new UCAs. Sitting on stock suspension at the moment but am getting a full Dobinsons suspension in a few weeks. Any help would be appreciated.

Nothing to do with alignment. Wheel diameter is now significantly bigger. If you left it in stock wheels and didn’t get an offset that’s why it’s rubbing. I would get a small spacer for front and it will correct it.

RADAR CHECK: Rain continues this morning, mainly over the eastern half of Alabama… the western counties are dry but clouds linger there. Dry air will move into the state today with clearing from west to east; lingering rain over East Alabama will be over in most places by early afternoon. Temperatures will hold in the 60s, with low 70s possible for some communities in West Alabama.

Tonight will be clear and cool with a low in the 40s.

TOMORROW AND THE WEEKEND: Expect sunny pleasant days and fair cool nights. Lows will be in the 40s, but some of the colder spots over North Alabama could reach the mid to upper 30s. Highs tomorrow will be in the 60s, and most places will be close to 70 Saturday and Sunday afternoon.

NEXT WEEK: A cold front will bring a chance of rain Tuesday night and Wednesday, followed by much colder air. We aren’t expect any severe thunderstorms with the front, and after it passes through highs drop into the 50s over North Alabama Thursday and Friday. Some places over the Tennessee Valley might hold in the 40s all day Thursday… See the video briefing for maps, graphics, and more details.

TROPICS: Potential Tropical Cyclone 19 is expected to become Tropical Storm Sara later today. It is currently about 280 miles east of the coast of Honduras with winds of 35 mph. Moving to the west at 16 mph.

*Through early next week, heavy rainfall will cause significant, life-threatening flash flooding and mudslides across portions of Central America, particularly Honduras, Belize, El Salvador, eastern Guatemala, and western Nicaragua.

*The disturbance is forecast to be near hurricane strength when it moves near the eastern coast of Honduras on Friday and Saturday. Hurricane watches and tropical storm warnings are in effect for portions of that area.

*The system is forecast to approach Belize and the Yucatan Peninsula of Mexico at or near hurricane strength by early next week where there is a risk of dangerous storm surge and damaging winds.

*It is too soon to determine what impacts the system could bring to portions of the eastern Gulf of Mexico, including Florida, the Florida Keys, and Cuba during the middle portion of next week. Sara could dissipate inland over the Yucatan peninsula of Mexico, but it if survives we will need to keep a close eye on it in the southern Gulf.

Most global model ensemble members show a weak low/rainmaker impacting the Florida Peninsula by the middle of next week.

FOOTBALL WEATHER: A perfect night for high school playoff games tomorrow night.

ON THIS DATE IN 1969: Shortly after being launched on a rainy day at Kennedy Space Center, Apollo 12 was twice struck by lightning, causing serious instrumentation problems. Telemetry displays onboard were all of a sudden garbled; the astronauts didn’t know what had happened. They just knew that everything had gone haywire. Flight controllers in Houston were seriously considering aborting the mission, which was a very dangerous procedure.

Enter John Aaron, Chief EECOM Officer and flight controller, a beacon of hope amidst the storm of confusion. Aaron, with his sharp acumen, discerned a familiar pattern amidst the jumbled telemetry readings — a pattern he had observed once in a training simulation. Channeling his profound knowledge and intense training, Aaron calmly suggested, “Flight, try SCE to Aux.” SCE is “Signal Conditioning Equipment”. It was an obscure switch the astronauts had to work to find.

It was a shot in the dark, but it worked. As the switch was flipped, the rocket’s systems began to stabilize. The electrical malfunctions that had plagued the mission moments ago were now a thing of the past. Apollo 12 was back on track and was headed to the moon. The call “SCE to Aux” remains legendary
