I have an 09 tacoma and I discovered a hole in the frame. I got it inspected and he discovered more. I had him weld up the holes and I have attached pics. How do people feel about this? All I got from reddit was sarcastic answers.IMG_1183.jpg IMG_7133.jpg IMG_7811.jpg IMG_9045.jpg IMG_5483.jpg IMG_5313.jpg

    The welds didn't help anything.
It just filled the holes. They didn't do anything for structural support.
The internal rust is just as bad.

It needs a plate kit. That's the only way you can make it "better".

Have you Checked the inner rails by the convertors?
Also the rear frame on the passenger side, starting at the front leaf mount all the back and over the muffler.

I checked everywhere and probably just wasted money on the welds. The issue is finding someone around here that will actually do these things correctly.

Where is "around here"? No location in your profile so that doesnt make it easy for anyone to help.
If it was me, I'd be looking at trading it in now that the holes are covered up. Some people do plate kits. But if my frame ever develops rust, I'm calling it quits and moving on to the next vehicle.

@Rbrokaw001 Afraid that if the outside looked like that, the inside of the frame will be 3x worse. I think, I would sell and be frank with the next owner about it. So they don't have it snap in half while driving it later.

These trucks gain so much sentimental value as we drive them, they get hard to sell or leave behind...

I’ve done a few frame “rehabs” and you’re on borrowed time with that. Even safe T caps are only temporary.
My advice is look for a rust free used frame.

Done, unfortunately. Tacoma salt belt demise. I fight it each month with car wash and Fluid Film, all year long

This time, sorry, but its toast and well done at that.
    Patch, paint, trade it.
