I'm off to get the Taco inspected, an emissions test and an oil change at the dealer. I hate the emissions test. Just b.s.

Good Morning. It’s Friday. Today is a grading day for teachers so no school for our kiddos. Should be a quiet day. Picking up donuts for whoever will be there. Stop in by and get one…Stay Well…Stay Safe

What do they do for the emissions test in PA? In NY if it's OBD2 they just plug it in to make sure that enough of the readiness tests have been completed and that the CEL isn't on. In my county if the car is pre-OBD2 it's a visual check to make sure you have the emissions equipment in place but most places don't look very hard, especially if you hand the mechanic a $20 bill and tell him "do a good job". LOL!

Sounds similar to here. It's just unnecessary. Only a few counties are mandated to do so. Meanwhile, there has been a demographic switch in these counties and the mills are gone from the ones that are mandated. It's arbitrary and costly. My step daughter had a car that failed. she tried all the tactics the mechanics told her to do to pass. In the end, she paid something like $250 for an annual waiver. It's just a rip off. If the emissions are so terrible, why issue a "waiver," especially for $$?

So if you fart after eating at Taco Bell, will that effect the emissions test, asking for a friend

We ALWAYS make sure we have coffee. If we have coffee then we can tackle anything.
If no coffee then we have some serious problems.

I hear you. At least you can buy the waiver. In NY you can get get a waiver if you spend $450 on attempting to fix it IIRC. After a car reaches a certain age they should stop with the emissions tests. My son drives the 2002 Park Ave I used as a commuter for years. It's got 170K on it and he just drives it back and forth to college but it likes to set a misfire codebyt I know how to drive it and make it not set the code. I have to commute in his car for a couple of days before it goes for inspection to get it ready.

This was refill week at the pharmacy for me. I had a Monday pick up from last week, a Tuesday, Wednesday and one more for today. Some are 30 day refills, some are 60 days, this week was all of them.
