@Speedytech7 can I pick your brain about turbo sizing?

a buddy gave me a homemade turbo manifold for the ol 22R for helping him with yota stuff.

Buddy of mine keeps a cracked (or maybe melted?) piston from an EJ25 he blew up on his desk as a souvenir. I'm thinking about replacing it with a good piston to see how long it takes him to notice.

Make sure to put one from a Honda k series there. That way when he asks about it you can explain how it's from a smaller engine that's way more durable and has much more power potential than an EJ.

do you think a Subaru td04 take off would be too small? Truck does great offroad so not necessarily looking for huge gains but I would like to be able to cruise up to 65mph, currently 40-45mph is a hard limit

my mixer supports 100~ hp, I am faced with upgrading to a 225~hp one which is the next size up. though as it sits I bet I make about 60, maybe 65hp HP lol

Propane is a very dry fuel in the grand scheme of fuels. It does have a lot of octane though... I don't think it's going to make 225 horsepower. But you might get like 150. A TDO4 should be fine if you can get your hands on one. I don't really know tuning on propane is there any danger to building boost down low cuz that's just what's going to happen. It's going to have some boost down low because the turbo is tiny bit undersized. But a 22R doesn't rev much either so it might be a match made in heaven really.

TD04 are a dime a dozen here, many subis lol

I don't think there's a danger to building boost early, aside from the factory head studs lol. Stock bottom end and valves on a 22r are very robust

Would it be worth going to a JY Volvo or similar T3 for later spool?

The photo was from a reddit post that was asking if thats a diff brake. Would have to do to much digging. When i can probably find an infinite supply of Florida mud truck pics that have the same axle lol
