I was considering piicking up a ford f250 6.0... but decided against it, instead I got a 2007 dodge 2500 5.9l mega cab

You do know they are made by the same people as Jeep? I would advise an extended warranty if at all possible.

That you would. According to Edmunds, the 5yr cost of ownership is in excess of $50K.

    http://www.edmunds.com/dodge/ram-pickup-2500/2007/tco.html?style=100796548

The reliability report indicates trouble with the engine and the steering / suspensions:

    http://www.edmunds.com/dodge/ram-pickup-2500/2007/reliability.html?style=100796548

This compared to $37K and 0 noted problems for the Tacoma V6 4x4.

He is paying 40% more than he must in order to own something with an animal on it and no 4x4 might I add...

Dodge is much better than the 6.0. the sicko as the mechanics call it has way too many problems after 100k
