*insert some joke about getting high**


The joke is there but just won’t fully form in my brain

Quick story

The other morning I climbed up in my api bowhunter and had just settled in and I hear sumthing running threw the woods to my right and lo and behold here comes this giant 3 pointer and he's headed right for my tree and wouldnt you know it his damn horns got hung up in the damn straps I use to carry my api bowhunter to and from whatever location that my heart desires so Im watching this deer kick around not 3 feet underneath me and hell if I know what to do so I start tryin to figger sumthin out real quick like before he yanks me from my perch so I grabbed my swiss army nife that I won at the local cotton carnival by picking up one of them rubber ducks that just so happen to be a swiss army nife winner and I pro seeded to cut that damn strap 'fore I got yanked out of that japanese elm I was sittin in and when I did it freed up that 3 pointer and he laid there fer a minute jest catchin his breath and he finally got up the energy to vacate the area and as he was walkin away he sez hey there Bob if you happened to hear from ol buzz pleese tell him that I sez and off he went and while I was wonderin how much a new strap fer my api bowhunter was gonna run me I hear some rustlin off to my left and wouldnt ewe know it here comes one of them girl deers and she walks right up to that japanese maple tree that I was perched in and fer whatever reason she sits down on her haunches not unlike a dog waiting on somebody to bring him a bowl of that alpo food and she sits there about 20 minutes and we enjoy a beautiful sunrise together and she finally gets up and as she's walking off she whispers ever so quietly that she wants me to tell you

gotta member to steer clear of Bob's stand area...........

 

so, yesterday...had a hawk cut across my windshield at 68 mph whilst on my way to the property, glad i didnt hit it, but scared the shitoutta me.. had a buck following a doe at just legal, behind and too far away, then bout 45 minutes later, they went back whence they came, another 45 mins. to an hour, back they come again, doe was dragging ass, walking like I do after 10 beers, big tuft of raised fur on her back. real nice buck following,but again,nothing i could do. had a spike walk into the feeder (gotta have 3 points in MD) and walk out just as fast, bout an hour later, here comes that same doe with the tuft of raised fur on her back being pursued by a scrubby looking buck..but I must say, that damn Family Tradition ddbl stand, is far and away the most comfortable long sit stand i have ever been in. My recommendation... if you have private property, i would invest in one of these stands (i have a ddbl and single), the webbed seats can be removed,leaving the ladder and base free to stand when not being used. I keep it cable locked to the tree's all year with the seats in my shed during off season. Expensive? very, but come on over and sit in mine all day,and you will understand, and no, i dont work for them, just letting anyone know what i know from experience....

 

I have to agree! I still have the photo of us from that double last year!!
