I watched the UFC Noche event.

That sphere is amazing. The background during the fights, the intro videos, everything was sick.

And let's go Austin!

 

LFG Thud! If you haven't watched Austin's fight against Mark O Madsen I recommend it. It was a battle and Austin broke the living crap out of Mark's jaw during the fight.

 

Noche was pretty entertaining. Some of the backdrops reminded me of Mortal Kombat. Zellhuber vs Ribovics was a banger. Definitely a candidate for fight of the year. The only fight that tops it is Holloway vs Gaethje at UFC 300. That was the fight of the decade, if not the greatest UFC fight of all time. I suspect UFC will end up hosting another event at the Sphere within the next year or two.

 

I'd argue Zellhuber vs Ribovics was the only fight I stopped multi tasking and zeroed in on. Agree on Holloway wining that BMF title tho, still get chills thinking about him pointing to the canvas and then beautiful combo that followed

 

Interesting judges this weekend...
From one judge pulling people off the cage after 3 seconds....

I had Austin 29-28...But the split decision 30-27 was VERY bizarre.
Those were some messy scores Saturday night...

Yeah, that fight was a banger! The co-main and main went as expected.

My god...Stipe doesn't belong in the ring anymore and I'm glad he retired. That was sad.
Even Jon Jones looks like a caricature of himself at the odd weight. He's just "mass" in the ring. He definitely would be a candidate for a 220lb class.
I'm of the opinion that Jones has been granted a co-dependent level of rope with respect to his antics...and I never feel like he's conciliatory.
