First time poster, short time lurker...

I was in a dealership today and got quoted on the following truck, at $27,665, which they say is the absolute bottom they can go...

    MSRP - $30,638
It's a 2009 Silver 4-door with the TRD Sport package and Towing package.

Good deal or not? Here is the full listing...

28k out the door would be a good price for a 2009, especially a 4wd.

I am being a jerk and pushing for an extra 2 years on the warranty...I feel like the buyer is in the driver's seat....they keep telling me that they could sell this truck easily to the next person that comes in for a Tacoma. I am trying! I might be a Taco owner before New Years! Anyway I will be doing a dramatic transformation from a BMW 328i...

Pictures if I purchase it ;)

sweet. but just remember. they will push for anything to make that sell. dont let them fool you with all that BS about selling it to another person. Yes they might be able to, BUT, be patient and it will work out. Toyotas are well known for dependability, availability and customer satisfaction

Ask the dealer if Tacoma's are as reliable as they claim. When they say yes, tell them then, "Then you shouldn't worry about adding 2 years to the warranty." If the balk, then walk out and say obviously the truck is not as good as you claim. They need to sell more than you need to buy.

Ok here is the new update, I do know someone at another dealership though its a litttle bit further. I didn't want to play them against the dealership but he insists he wants to try to beat it...so now I am trying to see if he will beat that same truck price at 27,700 and if he will throw in a warranty extended, and the tougher floor mats...what really will be hard is telling the first dealership that I am no longer going to buy from them (they won't be happy as they keep calling me :O )

Ok looks like I am taking delivery of my Tacoma today. Can someone tell me if its creditable for the dealer to charge me gas tax and some sort of tire fee? Are these hidden charges?

Uhh, they should fill up your tank for you and pay for the delivery, at least I would think so. I don't think there's any kind of tire fee.

Congratulations on you new Tacoma. I've never heard of a Gas Tax and they should fill up your Tacoma before you leave.
