That's kind of how I feel about the E46. Just does its job really well. Comfy and gets good gas mileage, the only thing it's missing is remote start.

 

Not every business has the bandwidth to setup and monitor that stuff. Especially small ones. Only so much time in the day and energy. Just call them.

Well they're owned entirely by Holley so I'd assume it has something to do with that.

 

I don't have a ton of details, but when I asked where he was off to, he said he was going to be doing chassis correction, lift installations, and shock tuning.

 

sounds like his own car shop then. Cool.

 

I've had reasonable communication with them but by phone. It is definitely they're preferred MO. My dealings was with JC. JC Silva I think.

 

I take back what I said. He called me on my drive home. We landed on the 650s with adjustable compression for the fronts. He seemed confident it will work well for my setup. The rears.... That's a hard one. Currently no offers for stock locations. I told him I'm not opposed to a custom shock to fit my needs so he is taking it to their R&D dept and see if there's something they can do. One thing he talked about was a 2.5" diameter shock, but I don't think that would cleared the leaf pack with stock mounts. I already touched my 2.0 foxes with my old leafs.

 

Yeah 2.5s in stock location doesn't seem like it'll fit.

 

That's what I told him. It makes sense they aren't well versed since they structure the entire rear shocks setup for relocation. It was fun listening to him describe what the rear shocks location setup was...

 

Putting those kinds of high pressure gas charge shocks on the stock single shear mounts seems like it could be fun... Be neat to see how long it takes to bend one or tweak it right off the frame

 

Certainly would be a first, haven't heard of that. I told him, I don't have the means for a relocation, and I have my spare under the bed, and need to keep it there and he understands. Called compromise. If I wasn't daily driving this thing indefinitely I would be open to a relocation, swing out, and be back on 35s in a heartbeat. Whether or not something comes of it I do appreciate that he responded well when I told him I would pay more for custom shocks to fit my needs. So I'll wait and see. I think it was Dan who called it that they've been busy with the Baja and sema. The fact they called me has me ready to do business with them.

 

I mean..i haven't bent mine(foxes). never heard of that happening either.

 

That's good. That passenger side one isn't hardly attached by anything on the top, It's the one that I think would go if any of them would. It's usually the first to go when any of these things get the tiniest bit of rust

Speaking of which. What were your shocks you're replacing with the 14s? Were they 12'' 2.0's? or 10"?

Isn't that like the ideal shock for those TC or Archive relocates? Dunno what good a 10" would do, you can already run those if you wanted.

 

I'm pretty sure I could still fit a spare under my bed with the relocate.

 

Especially only a 32.

 

I swear they used to say either a 10" or a 12 would work. But their docs say only 10" now. You know the collapsed length of them? They aren't short bodies right?
