Headaches can really put a damper on your day to. I get a migraine on occasion and do not enjoy.

Hows the sciatica business treating you?

Can confirm. Although Im sure you're just being a silly goose, I have learned it is always good to try to be funny, make people smile and laugh, but it's a fine line when it starts to drain you. Take care of yourself bud.

Headaches are caused by my TBI so, no way around that

But sciatica? Oh man way more manageable, thanks for asking

As a young Marine, I just brushed off any suggestions for help (cause, you're a Man and accepting help or admitting feeling pain is a sign of weakness) etc but at my age now, I'll take all the help I can get

The many visits to a chiropractor helped a lot, same with some of the tools they gave me, along with some of the exercises taught in physical therapy

Next visit is in about a week or so

    @0xDEADBEEF

You run Linux on one of your PC's right?

I run Fedora 39 on one of my Lenovo's; Kernel 6.12 just released!

One day I'll be back here. It's weird how memories get so distant they don't even feel real anymore. After I leave a place I feel like that was someone else living that life, and I was never really there.IMG_0845.jpg

Ah yeah, gf can get migraines for similar reasons. She has an piercing she says has helped, though I don't understand how.

Amazing how much we wish we could go back and tell ourselves things in the past  Glad to hear you've got some comfort back from it.

Yeah, I'm linux on anything I can. I'm boring though, so its pretty much just vanilla Debian everywhere  Work PC is the only Windows machine I've got.

I saw that announcement, sounds like its got some speed improvements for the spectre-affected CPUs.

Go explore the Palouse a bit, you'll like it I bet, kinda rough to move right before winter sets in but it can still be a good place to check out even when the fields turn white.

Probably good compatibility using vanilla deb though. I fell in love with Arch for most things. I still have to do a ton with Windows, but I would like to get my tuning laptop working with Arch or some variant because running the Haltech NSP software on a gutted Linux box would probably make my battery life go through the roof.

Is that a thing where you live? They're all over in WA and ID... lotta people without clothes that should be required to wear them by the Geneva convention though... ID is rough for that.

Arch is pretty awesome, its really matured a lot over the years. Before running Debian on all this stuff, I was running Manjaro a ton because I didn't have time to fiddle with arch as much, but liked pacman and yay. Really only stopped using it because of the never-ending updates since its rolling release.

Out of the box linux seems to be kind of hit or miss with power consumption. It can definitely be tuned up though, and Archwiki has good resources on it.
