Anyone done any rain riding so far? I have been told these are way worse than the AT3W in the rain.

I'm. FL - too much raining this season. comparing to stock tires - i think it is a little worse but not because of the thread but of weight of tires (each tire is 20 lbs more than stock), but grip is nice.

35 PSI on the AT3W 265/75/16 SL is the sweet spot for me. The shop had them at 42 and they were way too hard and ride was terrible.

Interesting you were able to get so many miles when so many others are complaining of only getting half that. I wonder what the big difference maker is there.

Probably compound, something harder like an E. Probably doable for him when he doesn't need a softer compound in snow. I am only going to get ~30-32k out of my SL Wildpeaks which I am bummed about but the trade off was much better performance in snow for me.

Crazy thing is I tow a 20 ft bay boat too. Most of my miles are highway miles. :burnrubber:

It’s weird how everyone seems to have a slightly different experience. I’m at 55K+ right now on my SL Wildpeaks. Will probably get a new set in the next few months or so, but when I was shopping around for some tire deals, one of the guys at a shop here was like “you still have some meat on them”.

That is because a significant portion of posters on TW fail to disclose the truth of their driving habits. This explains 95% of the poor very poor gas mileage and short tire life posts. Of course they all claim they drive like a grandma. A while back there was a group of loundmouths claiming Nitto Ridge Grapplers only lasted 20k....if that was true for a normal driver, those tires would not be that popular. Everyone I know gets 40K-60K out of their off road tires.

I agree. I don't like that either. It changes the perspective and makes the tire look smaller.

Hey Guys - just got 275/70/18 in E load. Anyone know if the sidewall on the E load, non-duraspec, is the same sidewall on the Standard load? I know they are both 2 ply but is the HD/E load stronger in the sidewall? When I called Falken the lady didn’t seem to really understand my question, she just kept repeating that E load can take more weight (of course it can).

Anyone can confirm or have the skinny AT4W 255/85/16 with these OEM trd trail wheels on 2022 TRD OR with or without bilsteins 2” lift? Seems like these are Offset 4 mm wheels. Thanks in advance.

    - ICON UCAs, BP51/Kings, SCS wheels, 285s, Leer 100XR canopy. Greenlane aluminum winch bumper, Smittybilt X20 winch. Trying Falken AT3w now, Really like BF KO2s.
Interesting tire test on snow, TFL checked out the Falken AT4, KO3 and Firestone Destination XT. Falken came in last for braking distance.
I’m running Falken AT3s at the moment.

I pull a 20 ft bay boat and have no problem braking hard when needed. No way Falken Wildpeaks are that bad in snow. Anytime I go snowboarding in the North Carolina mtns I never worry about braking distance.

Looks like I'm waiting for others to test the new falkens. Not going to try them in Denver based on that info. My duratracs have been solid in the snow but man are they loud

Is it from some youtube video? im on at4w and have no problems with breaking, i had problem with acceleration caused by tires additional weight, and easily fixed with OTT tune
