I must confess I came here for a little help clearing something up. Before that, I have owned 2nd generation Toyota Tacomas now for over 15 years and the wife drives a Corolla, 2010, only thing ever went wrong has been replacing the heater blower motor twice! Now, to the help I need. I have a 2002 Tacoma pickup. Rear end axle designation A02A. My pumpkin is leaking and I need to replace the rear end. The following information may be necessary. Base mode, standard cab, 5 spd manual, 2.7 liter engine, 5 lug rear end, no ABS I think it is 3.73 gear ratio. What I need to know is what axles are interchangeable that I could use. I thank in advance for any answers or directions where to find this information.
    Thank You
    Long Live Toyotas.

    Thanx
She runs great, the question is, how long LOL. So far the only thing I have found is a couple of hundred miles away and they can't be sure if it will fit and the price is high!

Thank you, didn't know where to post it. I thought 2002 was 2nd generation but I just drive them.
