So, I did this thing last week, couldn't resist. All these bike companies having great deals and such. I picked up a Revel Rover frame set and a pair of their fusion fiber rims for a new gravel bike build! The Aurora (green) color, 40% off, too hard to pass up. Pic's will follow after the build...

Nice! What made you decide on the Rover frame? That color looks sweet!

I was home for 6 days and experienced 3 typhoons. I left one day early because the 4th one was going to hit the day I flew out. Crazy. I was also there for a week in September and we had 3 typhoons in that week.

Post-typhoon ride at Timberland Mountain Bike Park in San Mateo, Rizal (PI). The clay was very much like Georgia clay but a LOT stickier and slick as ice. Once the tread packs up with mud, it was time to exit.

Did a full moon fatbike ride on Sandy Neck Beach on Cape this weekend - phone makes it look brighter than it actually was, however the lights were only needed when in the woods on trails.

Just a little over analyzing, lol. Received some really nice reviews and I think they do a nice job on getting their frames built to their spec's.

Maybe a little bias also, I have the Tirade Ti hardtail and love the bike. Not quite apples to apples but time will tell...

Any of you guys pro SRAM transmission tuners?

I have 2-3 gears (3-4 up from the hardest gear) that are real shitty mainly dropping down into them. At first I thought it was the transmission learning curve but after a couple hundred miles I'm about sick of it.

There is a specific way to set up the transmission depending on frame. I dont know it off the top of my head but I would run through the setup again to make sure.

Ya the local shop did that twice now and it's just getting worse. I think they probably had one of the "kids" do it the second time so I could just take it back but I'd rather learn to do it myself. I hate not knowing these secrets, lol.

    Found this for anyone curious...

It’s the easiest thing ever to set up. No b tension screw, no barrel tuning, no worries about kinks in the cables, no change with time…
YouTube the setup. It takes minutes.
To me, it sounds like either a quick Microshift adjustment or axle angle. Assuming your chain line is correct.

Or they didn't do the adjustments in the correct cog? Maybe didnt size the chain correctly?

By axle angle, do you mean the orientation of the derailleur relative to axle and dropout, before everything is tightened up? My wife’s new bike has T Type which shifted perfectly as set-up on her direct to consumer bike. Then some Tacoma-driving bozo loosened up the wrong stuff when removing the wheel to convert it to tubeless. Wouldn’t shift. Followed the SRAM setup instructions to re-align everything, and it’s been perfect now for six months.

When I hacked the transmission on my SB115 (not a UDH frame), I messed around with using the A-B setting and once was markedly worse than the other. I agree with reinstalling yourself, it's super easy. One important is to make sure you pull the derailleur back during the setup (also make sure the knurled piece goes back with the derailleur so the alignment marks line up.

One more thing, my T-Type bikes don't really shift that well on the stand (it kinda hangs on some gears). However, it shifts perfect when you're riding it.
