    Oooh...that shackle flip is niiice.

Gave my factory rake back and now sitting at 2" all around.

Softens up the back and absorbs the smaller bumps better.
(that I thought was as good as it was going to get with the shocks).

Up on the jack stands, the shock bottoms out before the brake line does.

I beat the hell out of my truck and I love them. I have zero concerns about them. I only sell/run products I’ve tested and run my self.

Lawl. You say potahto, I say murse.

On a serious note, you got enough bumpstop to catch the shock before it bottoms out?

Any decent leaf pack will cycle 12-14” which is all you’re going to get without trailing arms.

There are advantages to a link setup in regards to axle control and adjustability. But there are a bunch of downsides if you don’t get the geometry right. Also the upper link in a rear three link sees a TON of stress. Which is fine if setup and fabbed correctly, and disastrous if a weld or rod end fails.

LCA’s are pretty far down on the concern list for big tires and hard wheeling on a second gen. Steering racks, tie rods, CV’s and alignment tabs are far higher on the list to me.

Is it just me, or did everything turn from daily drivers to trailered mutants in here?

Please, carry on! I'm enjoying it, but this is all well beyond bad financial advice and my credit limits.

There is no bad advice on here only suggestions, and limits are meant to be pushed.

I'm not referring to credit limits of the bank. Those are way higher than I'm comfortable with. I'm referring to limits imposed by my wife and her superior financial planning oversight. Pushing those limits gets me in different kinds of trouble.

I didn't physically check but the numbers say I have room.
Correct me if I'm in the wrong...
Shock expands to 24", compresses to 14".

As the truck sits on the wheels, the shock measures 21"....meaning there's 7" left to compress.

It is 7" exactly from the frame to the very bottom of the sumo spring.
    Screenshot_20241119_050630_Gallery.jpg
Sumo spring will max before shock does.

At full droop you see the shock is bottomed and there's still a scoche of room on the brake lines.

I apologize... I asked a question and it got fun. Worried about LCA's and got a whole fresh pile of things to worry about...

Okay-saving some money here and staying with leaf packs... What is the BOMBER rear end in your opinion?

Also, not to veer too far off track but do tell regarding CV's and tie rods. I know they break at times. Tie rods I have looked into a bit but not CV's.
