2nd gen AC relay no signal from cab

    Hi to all in the group (( new member here )) I got a 2010 taco that I checked all the grounds and replaced interior controls but I'm not getting signal from controls to AC magnetic relay to kick on my AC compressor and when I switch it to hot it blows cold and cold blows to hot.. got me stumped for sure..any and all help and advice would be greatly appreciated..

    The hot/cold being backwards is a known issue, you either have the incorrect controls installed or the incorrect air mix servo.

    05-08 and 09-15 controls are different in that the temperature control voltage is inverted.

    As far as your A/C compressor not coming on, is your A/C light flashing or on steady?

    Morning.. I'm going to say it may be the controller since it does has a junk yard number on it (( bought it like that )) and the AC light just stays on.. no flashing .. I even attempted to jump the high pressure switch to see if that works and no good ..

    I mean we need to see if the A/C Amplifier is getting the correct signals to turn the compressor on, the control head doesn't have anything to do with controlling the compressor other than the switch sending a signal to the A/C Amplifier and your A/C light is lighting up so that tells me the switch is working.

    Srry I forgot about it last night.
    The A/C Amplifier should be looking straight up around the middle of the glovebox opening.

    I'll have to pull diagrams and pinouts tonight if I have time.

    Verify the A/C Fuse (10A) in the underhood fusebox is good, if it is start checking things below.

    At the A/C Amplifier:

    Connector Front View:

    Powers:

    Pin 11 (Green/Yellow) (Key in Run, Blower Switch On)
    Pin 14 (Pink) (Key in run)
    Pin 28 (Red) (All times)


    Grounds:

    Pin 4 (White/Black)
    Pin 6 (White/Black)

    Signals:

    Pin 10 (Beige) (Pressure Switch): Amplifier unplugged this pin should have continuity to Ground


    Pin 17 (Violet/White) - Pin 20 (Grey) (Ambient Temp Sensor): Amplifier unplugged check resistance between these 2 pins and verify it's in range of the chart below.

    Pin 16 (Black) - Pin 19 (White) (Evaporator Thermister): Amplifier unplugged check resistance between these 2 pins and verify it's in range of the chart below.

    Just wanted to thank you for your help all the information you gave has been on point..unfortunately the gremlins I got are beyond my capabilities going to pass it on to someone who can pickup where I left off..
