The fun thing with the small crawlers for me is I can fit them into my motorcycle luggage and stop somewhere during a ride to play with it. Also if it breaks I can throw it into a backpack vs having to lug an 8-10 lb truck around.

That Grom 223S I picked up the other day is the perfect size to fit underneath the stroller

I take the little dude to the nearby park, with the RC and controller underneath, then pull it out when we get there

    20241117_145055.jpg

I see myself doing the same for a miniature crawler as well

The axial basecamp is a great place to start that doesn't break the bank. The new FMS landcruiser is very compelling too, maybe even moreso. I feel like the smaller scale stuff is more for indoors and yes, they can definitely be modded and built up but you could end up getting to the price of an entry level 1/10 scale. Just my .02

Also, if you're into camping, nothing beats a crawler. Hours of enjoyment just sitting around camp in your chair or you can go for a hike with it. Good times.

Yeah I like the small footprint. Can pretty much take it anywhere. We have some rocks by the fire pit at the lake that would suit a small scale pretty good.

Good call, I need to sort out a new motor for the TRX4M. Has an Injora purple but think it's at the end of its life.

Dunno. It's been on the truck since December of last year and has run through every weather condition I've been able to throw at it. Also running heavy wheels/tires. It cuts out when there's any resistance against the front tires. Though it could be the stock ESC going, no clue what to do if that's the case or how to determine if it is.

I ended up making a 3 way splitter to plug the rear lights and turn signals in to on the LC80. Now all the lights are always on and I think it looks a lot better:

That looks great. Always been one of my favourite body styles. Had an 87 4Runner and a buddy had the truck.

    That looks so badass.

My thought process - Axial to toy with as my first crawler, Vanquish to go all out with (in larger scale)

    Nice!

Yeah capability, better than the SCX24 for sure (from all I've read and watched).

Gonna see how it is over the weekend and see what upgrades/mods I can get my hands on for black Friday based off my findings.
