    Heavily modified
I’ve got a heavily modified Tacoma and this weekend I experienced my 1st Limit Strap failure. I had an 8” PRP Limit Strap Fail on the bracket the webbing wraps around. The steel bracket snapped where the webbing wraps around. This strap is rated @ 10,000lbs. Is it just the webbing that’s weight rated. If so what’s the rating for the steel tabs that mount to the truck. Is there another mounting method that can be used to lesson the impact of metal failure?

I don't have an answer for you but pictures of the rest of your suspension set up and some more specs might help others that know chime in.

    I'm not an engineer.
But the metal bracket doesn't look thick enough.
And all the weight and pressure is on two "small" pieces of metal on each side of the strap. Looks like a design flaw to me.

I bet @Kwikvette might have an idea.
    He fabricates stuff like that.
    Maybe even @six5crèéd

    4 run, 2 don't
I'd gladly make a new mount for free - it's a small bracket that'd be easy to cut out.

Only problem is, those straps are stitched up after being wrapped through the loop - in this case, the strap outlasted the hanger.

Looking at the pic though it seems like the metal loop is really thin.

I’d call the manufacturer and ask them,,, best source of info, heck they may even warranty it!

Yeah. Noticed it was stitched after the fact.
I just kind wanted to know if you felt like me. It was a "design" issue.
But like I said, I'm not an engineer or fabricator.

I cobble stuff together and "hope for the best".......
