Yeah they are new, but he seems like a good dude. Just watched this video that impressed me. My one concern is it does not use the same shim stacks as king/fox so tuning may be a pain

Did you check the spare? I know the older ones had a sensor in the spare.

I will, but I thought that Toyota stopped putting TPMS in the spare some years ago. My question, if it is a question, is more about the TPMS with display of the individual tire pressures in the dash versus TPMS with just a warning light.

When I was kinda young and kinda cool. Not a Soobie but AWD, MT, & turbocharged. First pic is with my younger brother's GVR4 from when I first finished putting it back together from the mess made by the shop the previous (original) owner brought it to when the balance shaft bearings spun. The second is a couple of years later after it was pretty built and putting 400hp to the wheels on pump gas. Sorry for the crap resolution but basic digital cameras weren't great 20 years ago.

He emailed back. He can provide shim stacks but also king shimstacks also work in his shocks. I think I am going to go with them instead of fox

LOL! Plenty to pick on for both Mitsubishi and Soobs. White one was pretty reliable for a car that went 11's in street trim with a short block rebuilt with OEM parts.

I used to say "the biggest problem with Mitsubishi's cars is the owners". I was a dealer tech for them from 96 to 2004 and their customer base was slightly better about maintaining their cars than Hyundai owners were back then.

I would rather have trouble putting back on than taking off!

I'll be interested to know what the $2000 WRX ends up actually costing, and what you expected it to actually cost.

So far we’re $500 in wheels/tires, $185 for fuel pump, $180 for a used downpipe, $80 for a used turbo inlet pipe.

Few more things to do, but we shall see!

Biggest potential expense is a pro-tune to make it run happily on the JDM ECU.
