An update on the front end saga....Got an email from JD that the correct Coil-Overs and the Misalignments are ready to be picked up. So far their Customer Service has been top notch!!

Also did around 200 miles of dirt this past weekend throughout Death Valley and the surrounding areas.

Didnt take any pics while on the trail but here's whats lingering after driving back to LA after going through a silt bed that was deep and exceptionally powdery. Driving in Brown Out conditions hoping that I don't hit anything is always has me shitting bricks.

Definitely want to see how you did the core support. Need to patch mine up, and wouldn't mind getting a beefier one fabbed.

Since Joe has done work with JD Fab I would suspect this would be something eventually available thru them. It also looks to be designed to work with JD Fab's inner fender. The main reason for the inner fender was to minimize tire contact with the inner fender causing damage to the core support. A continuation of JD Fabs Tacoma product development? I could be wrong. It would not be the first or last time. Perhaps a bigger/thicker radiator, trans cooler and A/C condenser is an option.

    Whole lotta stuff
He’ll correct me if I’m wrong, I think Joe threw a CSF radiator in there while he was at it. I’m running a CSF as well. While bigger, it still fits the stock footprint.

edit: giant transmission or intercooler for boost applications would be pretty sweet.

Using only Baja Design for headlamps, no OE housings? I really like this idea and have been trying to imagine how the hole in the fender/hoot/grille would look or be filled. Does BD make DOT (or 'legal') headlamps as pictured?

Im also wanting one too. My junk is now so bad that the whole support has moved/collapsed towards the engine..luckily I have an E-Fan and ditched the OEM Fan Clutch because that would be in the radiator

    Hey @Y2kbaja,

We currently don’t have a DOT-approved headlight on the market. However, we do offer SAE-compliant lights that are perfect for fog light replacements. If you’re interested in setting up a system like this or have any questions about our other lighting options, feel free to send me a PM I’d be happy to help you out!

    Best,
    Bill

    Hey @01 dhrracer & @Evenflow,

We’re still in the final stages of developing our DOT LP6 and anticipate its release in 2025. As more details become available, I’ll be creating a post to share the specs and features of this exciting new product line. Stay tuned!

Once I have put some dirt miles on the new core support this coming holiday weekend, I will be working on the bezel to fill the gaps around the BD lights. Maybe 3d printed, maybe cut OEM lamp, not sure yet. The support will accommodate OEM lights, I'm just tired of broken tabs and gobs of bonds lol

Tonight we wired the lights into the factory harness and have all OEM steering column controls. Super stoked right now
