Just got mine and they have been on for like a week or so. So far VERY happy with them. No idea how they will hold up to a winter yet. Took off the boots as they had one 20mi trip in the rain and were soaked and i don't care for the look anyway. Riley is awesome to work with. Highly recommended at this point... There is another with them, @Supr4Lo but not sure his has even seen dirt yet...

Thanks for the info. I have alot to consider. The one thing I do not like about them is I cant find a source for shim stacks if I want to tune.

    In my defense,
I hadn't discovered T.W. and a group of guys so eager to show me and my wallet the way, back then.

Ya know... Like shims you use to tune the shocks. They allegedly use metric sized shim stacks that can be difficult to find

True that. Back in the 90's when I had my Ranger it was the magazines that led me astray and they were backed by manufacturer money so they led me awry most of the time... Rancho shocks for instance.

Oh there will be some mods all right
I test drove the 4th gen Tacoma tonight. Unexpectedly slow. I know from experience Toyotas get faster once they're broken in but the first impression is not great lol. The transmission's shifts were somewhat lethargic as well. You guys know I'm not like a lot of the third genners on here who feel the need to defend their generations honor so I'm giving a legit opinion. The truck that I drove happened to be a limited. I will readily admit that the ride was great, the seats were super comfortable, and the technology was fantastic. Honestly this is a real relief because if the new Tacoma felt like it was a fair bit faster than my current truck it would have made the decision to keep my current Tacoma a lot more difficult.

Did you drive the base one or the hybrid?

I did not get to experience the hybrid unfortunately but that adds so much to the price that I would never be able to afford a hybrid new anyway

A hybrid TRD or is under $50k if you don’t go crazy on option packages. Options and higher trims are easily $60k+

still crazy though when my 17 was only like $36k and my tundra was under $50k

Put it in sport mode. And the limited has full time 4x4

Right.... Like to get the "same" truck as my 17, I'd be selling 47k before taxes and fees.

    Hell. No.

Funny enough the salesman actually had me put it in sport Plus mode and there was nothing sport Plus about it lol. My sister came along for the test drive and when I floored it we both looked at each other like "That's it?" She has driven my truck a few times and ridden in it quite a few times and even she was like "Man your truck is way quicker." Now that being said, I test drove three different year third gens over the years that were in double digits on the odometer and they were all slugs as well, that's why I actually didn't end up in a third gen for so long. Then when I finally test drove my current truck it had like 20,000 ish miles on it and it felt significantly quicker so perhaps the powertrain really shines once the truck has some miles on it like it did with the third gen's but as it stands off the lot brand new it was very lackluster.
