Glad you’re back safely. Looked like you got really sick, had fun, did some driving, ate, partied, drove some more, it rained and you flew home.

    Yeah, pretty close.

The flights were rough. Upon arrival though I had apparently gotten food poisoning before I left and as soon as we landed it went into affect. I was so sick. Could barely drive. But as I tried to get us to our first place, we blew a tire and got stranded in the middle of nowhere on the highway. I cried several times that day.

After a horrible night, we decided to press on and hope for the best cause the worst already happened. The rest of the trip was stunningly gorgeous! Couldn't drive a mile without taking photos. Got well enough to do the driving. Didn't eat till day 5, but once we did, all the food was fabulous. Managed to do 3 hikes by the end of the week. Went to Loch Ness. :alien::alien::alien:

Oh I forgot we went to a couple Christmas markets. Saw a Christmas concert at an old cathedral and there was actually a wedding going on at our hotel the last night and there were bag pipers and other instruments at the door playing as we were coming and going. It was basically magical.

We were supposed to drive the north coast 500, but because of day one, we did more like 250. And we went to the isle of skye. Only city we saw was inverness. Everything else was small town. :)

Sounds like a fabulous trip - food poisoning not included. ;)

Do you have family/friends there or was this a "just because you wanted to" trip?

I guess I had better get working on the Cherokee - seeing as I can't drive the truck in another 10 days.

First maybe this blown brake line:

    KIMG4606.jpg

And then maybe this small hole in the rocker panel...

    KIMG4605.jpg

If I hadn't spent 3 months sweeping up rust from a certain GMC I might have got this done a bit earlier. :notsure:

Like the HVAC guys always say "it will get worse before I can make it better".

You can get a lot done in 60 seconds.

At least it is my rust on the floor this time...

    KIMG4607.jpg

Not sure if that is good or bad. :notsure:

Morning crew had to get help yesterday from the plant shop crew with a broken PVC pipe plunger. Guy lives down the road from me about 20 miles.
Hope everyone is a good and safe day today.
