Morning all.

pup woke up last night and had to go outside then just wanted to play after we came back in. Was howling and barking in her crate for awhile before I had to get her out so she didn’t wake up everyone else. Guess she’s not as crate trained as she needs to be yet.

I think I’ve seen you tagged a few times for welding and/or other things but can’t remember any specifics, like who tagged you. Maybe you’ll have the notices still.

 

Maryland really is a great state to live in!

I am! I moved to MD earlier this year. I'm still partial to Washington State but lived in PA before by Philly and that place was not for me...

 

I generally don’t have too many complaints about MD lol, except for when I go out west and don’t want to come back from the mountains

 

I was born and raised here, after military service I moved from San Diego and stayed in the PNW for 5 years, then a year in Cheyenne WY then ended back here. I'm beyond ready to make this place a fading speck in the rear view mirror once and for all. There are some beautiful places to visit around the state, but the cost of being able to live in those places is beyond any dreams that I have.

I honestly hope that you have the time of your life here!

 

Oh, I miss the mountains so much. Hiking here just isn't the same. The PNW has soooo many beautiful woods and mountains.

 

Where are you thinking of moving to? Someplace out west?

It is pricey here. I'm planning on moving to San Diego with my partner next spring so to an even more expensive (but better weather!) place I'll go!

 

Agreed, it has nature that you just can’t get around here.

 

West, I miss the high desert and the Sierra Nevadas. I was looking a bit when I went to the San Juans in SW Colorado for 2 weeks a few years ago, the cost of living is out of reach for me unfortunately. The work that I do isn't exactly "remote work" friendly, so I'm kinda stuck needing to be near DoD manufacturing.

What area of WA were you in? I was in Kent, close to Federal Way. I still have some family that lives in Bonney Lake.
