1st Gen Lunchtable Thread - General Discussion

Turns out I got a stomach flu, can't remember the last time I had one of them...unless food poisoning counts because that's close to what it feels like. Like all the symptoms of a regular flu but no congestion at all and constant burping/feeling like I'm gonna barf. At least the fever only lasted yesterday afternoon/evening

 

I don't understand this insanely common yet violently boring meme trend.

I dunno about that lol. Maybe all but the fever, which was the worst part.

 

I put my auxbeam panel on it, so everything was pretty clean

 

really can't see them from either seat. have the panel and I never notice it

I guess I never really thought to ask what else they might sell these days, anytime I buy cookies from the Girl Scouts I immediately just demand boxes of Tagalongs

 

Some kids at Stephanie's school, this is maybe only the 2nd or 3rd year we've bought these but they're sooooooo good

The peanut butter is creamy like a smooth caramel texture

 

despite my current lack of appetite that does sound amazing

Then damn, I really am spoiled

 

It's a bold business strategy, most companies just fake supply or delivery issues to drive up cost on ordinary goods, the girlscouts manufacture their own actual supply and delivery shortage most of the year to achieve the same ends.

 

It really is, works out well for them but I guess it's really just about fundraising and not necessarily huge profit margins in the same sense that it is for Nestle, Keelber etc.

It's funny, when I look at the cookie section in our local Vons they have store branded cookies that mimic each of the popular Girl Scout ones, trying to get in on that market appealing to their cravings year round. Definitely far from the same thing though.
