Something could very well be bent, broke, bad or Rotten. Still on factory control arm bushings and bj’s at 120k.

Wear started when I lifted the truck. Prior to new shocks and coils, wear and track was perfect. After, Front geometry essentially looked like \ /. Shit went down hill from there.

Less than when you typically expect to start experiencing issues. 1.75” in the front, new shocks and coils and then 1.5” in the rear, new shocks, springs and icon aal’s.

I’d assume after taking it to several shops if something was obviously broke or bad they’d jump on the opportunity of $. I’d even reasonably expect if nothing was worn or damaged at all, that at least one shop would suggest throwing parts at it. That hasn’t happened yet, which is the puzzle.

I don’t want to derail this thread. I’ll take it to the shop recommended and see what they say. If no dice, the search for the fix continues.

Installed some LED dash lights, they look nice and fresh. Not a big change but maybe a good one, I mostly turn em off once I'm cruising on the highway at night anyway.

I also installed a 150a alternator and I am working on some information to accompany that as well as some wiring. Next thing on my list is hydraulic line lock to replace my busted cable e-brake. My rear drums work excellent... but my shocks can pull the old cable brake too easily and the e-brake cable limits downtravel for me.

I'm a big fan of white LED cluster lights. Sometimes I dim them down, but not very often surprisingly.

Found out my windshield is leaking but it looks like it's just leaking from around where the butyl seals to the top. Probably just put a new windshield in next week since mine has a chip in it anyway and the labor is the real cost not the glass.

New windshields are so nice. Sort of like getting a new pair of glasses.

You sure the metal under there is good? I had a leak from rotted sheet metal around the windshield frame thanks to a sloppy replacement job 10+ years prior. Luckily the local windshield replacement place was willing and able to deal with it.

Oh, and of course, the glass he took out was perfect (after 10+ years!) and the new glass chipped within a week.

It could be ugly, I don't know, what I can see is clean. I have a buddy that will take it out. If I need to sand and epoxy paint the frame or fill it a bit it's no biggie. He can come by to put the new glass in another day.

It's good to know people. Mine looked clean too, until the windshield was out. Hope your luck is better.

Windshield guy came by and inspected, says we should be good to go, so he's ordered glass now. He's got some pretty intense epoxy/filler paint for rusted windshield channels without pinholes or rusted through sections and he says he'll use it anywhere it might need it but thought mine looked decent as is.

Got my new windshield installed, he installed new molding too, didn't realize that trim was universal.

Started working on my center console stuff again too, got some mockup parts outta the 3d printer.

I was going to tell you about how Toyota had a super special window trim for cold-weather-equipped Tacomas, but I guess you already know about that...

Is your new universal trim the same as the cold spec trim? Did that trim actually make any difference in your life and happiness?

Nah the universal one just lays flat and covers the gap nicely, cold weather one definitely looked different on my old truck but I'm not sure it made much of a difference. The cold weather starter sure is a beast though, I'd take another one of those any day.

Mine pop outta the dash, just 95-97 things haha.

I could use a cupholder in the center, definitely on the list of things to draw up

Looks like you could drop in a cupholder shift boot bezel if you want.
