I can't even swallow the pill for the headliner kit let alone the tent upgrade or a full upgrade kit lol...

I also just got my repair kit for the delaminating panels/zippers so that will be the first "upgrade" before I decide more is needed.

FS: 200w Solar panels with mounting and 100aH Lithium battery $500 for all
I am selling (2) 100w Renogy Solar Panels with mounting system and a 100aH Lithium battery.
The panel mount fits a V2 GFC on a Tacoma and holds 2 panels. This is a custom low profile mounting system that allows you to still carry items on Beef Bars. System has been in use 2 years and still working great. Mount system has traveled all over western US with no issues.

I just got tentative approval from the CFO/Wife for one! She says im getting too old to be climbing into my RTT. I say tentative as I'm not sure she knows how much a "pop-up" camper costs yet. Either way I'm going to look for a pre-owned model for awhile first. :anonymous:

I just put my deposit down for the V2 Pro. Luckily my dog had no complaints

There is a lot of turnover on the campers and just watching their own forum is a good way to find a deal on a used one

Definitely some great deals to be found on the used market but if you do go new the V2 Pro looks really nice with some great design changes. Also if go new make the trip to Montana, well worth the drive. Plus no state sales tax and lower install fee easily more than covers the cost of gas up there and back

Not replaced but GFC had removed mine to replace the tent fabric early last year

Same situation as Jason above. Basil's Garage in Vista replaced my tent and R & R the roof during the process.

Did a quick search but I didn't find much so figured I'd ask again. What're yalls storage solutions for the ladder to keep it out of the way but still easily accessible? I don't have my camper yet but figured I'd get all my ducks in a line before it arrives. I have a Decked system so I imagine it would be annoying to get into my truck bed to access the tent so planning on using the ladder the majority of time.

While I'm at it, anything else you guys would recommend me doing to prepare for the install besides sealing the bed? Also planning on running Icon RXT leaf springs set to Stage 3.

I don't have a ladder yet, prefer to climb up through the bed. I have homemade drawers about same height as Decked. Covered with carpet pad and carpet to be easy on the knees.
In general, I don't leave my tent popped. I leave it closed until ready to retire, pop the tent and setup (move in sleeping items i.e. water, lights, protection, electronics, etc.) in about 10 minutes. I leave one panel out and stand on the drawers to clean up before going into my bedding. Leaving the tent closed minimizes insects and dust/dirt going in thus keeping the bedding / sleeping area cleaner. That said I typically travel solo, if I had a 2nd person then I would definitely be using a ladder. I have 130-150 nights over the last 2.5 years, it works pretty well for me. YMMV

No ladder for me either. I don't like that they block access for the panels.

I like the idea of closing it up when not in use at camp. I currently have a clamshell rtt so it's not as easy. Thanks for the tip. I may end up just storing it in the cubby behind the rear passenger seat.

Yeah.. that's a bummer. My buddy that has a wedge style rtt on his runner has to remove his ladder every time to access his rear doors

To me ladder only makes since if camping with significant other or maybe trying to get a dog upstairs.

Some really good ideas here on bed storage. I have a different canopy camper, but I’m using some of the ideas posted here.
