Hmm, I'm in the blue zone for that map. I'll believe it when I see the roads sizzling from all of the magnesium phosphate getting sprayed down.

It would be nice, I'm deep into the teal area as are both Mikes.

It's getting chilly outside, I was unloading a bunch of pallets that need to be turned into kindling wood for the woodstove.

 

Don’t get me started on costs of living in CA. Rent, insurance, gas, food, literally everything.

Did a comparison of a specific meal cost in NC vs CA. Was about 15% cheaper in NC.

 

You should move back to the east coast.
I think you’d like it over in NC. I like the Asheville area. It’s a lot like here in East Tn where I am.

 

Funny timing because I’m actually in NC right now (OBX). It certainly seems like it would be a great place to live, I spend about a month out of each year here over the course of a few trips.

 

I've been to Kitty Hawk. Loved it.
But not sure I'd want to live there forever.

 

Agreed, I think those areas would be too touristy to live permanently.

Where about were you in SoCal? Curious cause my partner and I were looking at homes tonight and like pretty much everywhere is in the high risk wildfires areas and we have been reading about insurance dropping people. We might just have to stay in MD.

 

I just got back from a trip in OBX. The aquarium there is really fun to walk around. They rescue sea turtles.

Yeah! I highly recommend it! If you like aquariums. It's smaller but I thought it was worth it.

 

It’s funny you mention that one because of all the times I’ve been down here, I’ve never gone and we were discussing doing it this trip. I might give it a look!
