Yep ... i think it took longer to figure out the correct angle to contort my hand to on the passenger side than it did to do the other 3 bulbs combined. Definitely nicer than the h11's.

Didn't do anything to my Tacoma except park it next to my new 2024 F250.

Now wondering if I should sell the Tacoma or keep it.

He sums it all within 2 minutes:

The crown jewel: 74 Weld Portals ($20K) with double sheer option ($600) so your steering will be strong. Grand Total including install/taxes: $25,491.

That didn't include shocks/UPAs and accoutrements. lol

    I'm gonna stop right there.

Yeah I stopped watching it not long after the $25K for the 1st thing, only takes 4 somethings or another to hit $100K doing stuff like that...
To each their own... If I had an extra $100K, I would probably do some killer up grades to the fun car... lol

Installed my new RCI skid. Looks a lot better than the factory plate. I rubbed some fluid film into the metal to add a little corrosion resistance. From what I understand, the 5052 aluminum they use does a good job at resisting corrosion compared to 6061.

This makes me feel even better about having done my own last weekend!

    This thread for quick reference

    $33.56 - 6 qts of Mobil 1 0W20 engine oil from Walmart
$4.54 - OEM engine oil filter element from local Toyota dealer
$82.61 - 6 qts of Mobil 1 75w90 gear oil from Summit Racing
$57.68 - 2 liters of Ravenol 75W gear oil from Ravenol America (I probably could have gotten by with 1L since the transfer case capacity is ~1.04L, but I wanted it full!)
$9.54 - plug gaskets from the local Toyota dealer
$21.43 - OEM engine air filter from the local Toyota dealer
$30.13 - front diff fill and drain plugs from the local Lexus dealer to replace the front diff fill and drain plugs with standard bolt plugs instead of will-it-strip-this-time hex plugs (fill: 9034118060, drain: 9034124016)
$69.95 - fancy tools (oil filter wrench, drain tool, funnel) from MotiveX
$37.09 - Fumoto F133S drain plug from Auto Zone

Priceless - not having to worry about stripped bolts on my skid plate, failing to replace the drain plug, over-tightening the oil filter housing so it'll never come off without breaking, etc.

    Total: $346.53

And that's even with the extra stuff!

IMHO If you don’t keep the Taco you’ll end up buying another second vehicle. When I bought my 3/4 ton Chevy I started riding my motorcycle just about everywhere. Just too big if it’s your only vehicle. Not even an expense issue.

I got rid of my 3/4 ton thinking oh man a smaller truck, better mileage and easier to park and I've hated every minute of it. I'd take the 13 mpg and walking an extra 100 yards for an easy parking spot just to have the interior space again. Haven't even made my first payment and already looking at new denali HD's.

Yep, YMMV. I got called for jury duty and the county parking was a garage. Big Chevy was impossible to fit and had to park offsite. Couple days like that and I knew I had to have a new game plan.
