Are those for 2005-2011 or 2012-2015?

    Yes
No, complete removal of the oe headlight, look on the bd site at an lp6 and imagine that sitting in a big hole where your headlight used to be. It would also require a fully custom bracket or mount off the core support or bumper

Not gonna get a ram effect there given the grille/hood line and angle.

You might be better off with the Volant ‘ram air scoop’ that mounts off the core support and receives air from the top of the grille area. But you also have a big gap where the oem headlight used to be so you possibly have room for a UMP.

Without getting into too much physics, a Tacoma (or most any street driven vehicle) isn’t nearly fast enough to be able to create a ram air effect because air at low speed isn’t compressible. On the Tacoma the grille has such a steep angle that there is no high air pressure at all where the scoop is. It’s just for looks on most cars, our Tacos included. You might get better use of it by opening it up so under hood heat can escape at idle.

For a desert truck I’d prioritize filtration and smooth flow over the MAF. Get one or two UMPs or something… just my $0.02
