My wife hates driving my truck because it is SO BIG! I'm just happy it fits in the garage. But I've never had big cars; the biggest previously was an '08 4Runner which was shorter and didn't have as high of a hood.

Wait... what? An Access Cab and Double Cab SR are the same size as a comparable TRD model. Unless you're comparing cab sizes.

Removed my decked drawers in preparation for some drawers made by Solid Wood Worx. Found a bunch of washers and bolts that I dropped over the years.

I think a lot of people immediately think the SR is the autozone parts runner access cab.

    IMG_3963.jpg

It’s basic but not suuuuper basic.

Today’s WHYDTY3GT was checking the rear diff level after having changed the fluid earlier in the week and throwing a new crush washer on. lol. “Mod”

No. I’m just giving him some flak. Sounds like he wants a bigger truck. I get it. Taco is tight, I’m not a large person, and it’s cramped for me.

I'm a large person and I think I have plenty of room, are you coming from a Sequoia or something with an attached cargo area?

Genuinely curious, not trying to be rude

Last truck was a GMC crew cab 3/4 ton. Prior to that raptor super cab, I think the underseat storage and actual center storage is what made it significantly better for the amount of stuff I do.
Also the seating angle is really weird and i feel like I'm constantly pressing myself back into the seat. I'm not necessarily large, 6'1 220, but I'm not petite.
I really want to like this truck but I don't know that there's gonna be any amount of modding that makes it comfortable enough to want to keep it.

No difference in size between an SR 4 door vs any TRD 4 door.

You can get a 6' bed on a 4 door in some configurations,

Not sure why ppl believe the SR package is lacking in so many areas. Same exact truck, less crapIMG_20240818_091658347_HDR.jpg

    Access cab 6'bed SR.
They also make a 4door sr with a shorter bed
And I believe Canada makes a long bed 4 door SR.

I’m 6’2’’ 250lbs coming from a 2003 Tundra into a 2023 Tacoma sport with literally no restrictions. My taco does everything the Tundra did and more.

Im kind of like you, a big guy coming from a 04 Silverado to a 19 Sport. I feel comfortable in my taco, have been on numerous road trips with no complaints. One mod I would really like to try though, is see how the seats in the trailhunter would fit in my Sport.

Small lift, slightly oversized tires, well...
The seat bottom is really flat. A lot of people find that Seat Jackers help the position, it may be worth a try.

I’ve been thrashing the Taco. Forget the 4LO Fitty cringe, I’ve been cruising the San Fernando Valley with the locker on in 2WD. With the Yotawerx 2.1 AD+ (custom) tune, rolling off stop lights has been a fucking blast. 1st to 2nd gear acceleration change feels nirvana. And the best part…I feel like I’m driving a truck again. 1963 C10. I miss that truck to the core. But loving my 3rd Gem just the same:thumbsup:

Ok so I’ll start by saying I bought these brand new 8 months ago there fox elite coilovers so last week I started to hear something squeaking bad I got to look and found that the lower coilovers bearing had already went bad I know coilovers have to be maintained and cleaned but changing them once a year seems a little much

A couple beginner mods, working my way into slowly.
    6' 1" 240 here, came from a 2001 Tundra but love my 2019 OR. I do miss the 4.7 liter Tundra V8.

I picked up a second hand ARE Overland cap today. Been looking for a good condition used cap for about a year and finally found one I want.

Well there's like 6 different models and 12 different packages and 2 different bed sizes and 2 different motors and 3 different transmissions, that by the time you get done you've got 3,497 different configurations of the same truck.. I get it.
