I’m thinking about just dumbing it down and doing an interlock. That way I can mess with load thresholds of the genny and be able to connect a bigger one later…
    Thoughts?

Absolutely….As long as it’s allowed in your area.
    All circuits are available.
I have a watt meter(which I’m sure you saw) to keep tabs on things.
I know the draw of the house just by a quick glance..

What does the baby powder do? I've never seen or heard of this trick before.

    Makes them smell real good…ROFLMAO
    Seriously….
I use the powder so the auger belts won’t grab solid and snap on heavy snow.
New belts grab like a SOAB.. This adds a little cushion….
I don’t use it on drive belts cause the friction wheel is the slip point..

Well well we'll, I didn't pressure wash today o_O. In stead I was segr------ again and sent to the other side of the plant to my normal work department. We were setting up for pressure washing inside with old man winter rearing his ugly head Thur. and Fri. We are using plunger we made with (drum roll) PVC pipe and fittings from the plant.
We got a guy who rolls the bundles over and shakes the mud loose, then we plunge the pipes and use a leaf blower with PVC pipe extension and blow out the remaining crap. And off it goes to the inside where they cut the bands and brush off the dry mud and move it to the next section for you guessed it pressure washing, then to be re-bundled.
Guess we'll see how it goes tomorrow. Y'all have a good night.

Found a good deal on FB so picked up a new rear blade. My first rear attachment for the tractor. Dude had bought the tractor and 2 of about every attachment made for it all Landprde. You can see on the blade face there’s not a scratch I don’t think ever used just faded from sitting outside.

Dude had 2 of everything. 2 zero turns, side by sides, big tractors, campers, motorcycles, idk what was going on. Said he had that property plus another so bought 2 of each empliment he wanted so he could keep one set at home and one at property so all he had to transport was the BX. This will help me with gravel, dirt, and snow

Yes all circuits are available, but that doesn't mean your generator can feed them. When we had the standalone generator I would shut off AC, electric oven, electric clothes dryer circuits before switching over.

We went with a whole house Generac when the garage went in a few years ago. What. A. Luxury.

I am aware of the restrictions and am planning on scheduling my loads. You don’t need a whole home genny all the time. You’re spending 6-10k for convenience. With a soft start on my heat pump and leaving the washer and dryer off, I can schedule load draws when I want by switching on and off anything I want at the panel. I don’t want to restrict my gen use with a transfer switch and we plan on retiring out of state so I’m not paying that kinda money for a whole home that I’ll leave behind. I’ll save that money for our retirement home.

Alrighty y'all yesterday my department came up with the idea of grabbing the bundles of pipe with the clamp forklift turning on end and dumping out the dried mud then just plunging and leaf blowing the left over shi* inside. Well this went on all day cranking it out. Then we were told stop that and work harder and work more by doing the other teams job too. Oops worked too good.

Thanks for this. I made one up that bolts through an existing hole in the deck. Worked like a champ with the Gator blades.

Got to drive the kitty cat forklift yesterday, and run a Stihl leaf blower for the pipe.
    Y'all have a great weekend.

    Reserected from the dead.

Forgot to follow up on the back pack blower.

I cheated and stuck a long screwdriver in the muffler. Broke out some carbon build up.

    Unit fired right up!

Talked to the owner when I gave it back. He told me it last ran 8 years ago.

I thought it ran very good for 8 year old gas. It did smoke pretty bad, though.
