I don’t do anything crazy. Just forest roads maybe some small rock gardens when getting to a camping spot.

I just have no idea what lift pick. I do know that I want to fit 285 tires and possibly add a roof top tent on the bed.

anyway thanks in advance for your help

Sounds like a good setup to me. Keep in mind depending on your wheel setup you may need to trim some plastics and your cab mount with 285’s.

    Why do you need 285s?

Why would you need a lift for forest service roads and a few small rock crawls? If you want it for looks then just say so, that is perfectly fine.

Not knocking it, but most members have MUCH less issue with 2" lift. Especially CV joints, etc....

I can't say enough about my Bilstein 5100's which are a bigger better alternative to the oem Off Road Bilsteins.

Yeah sure if that is want you and want to spend your $$$ on - seems like over kill for how you use the truck though.
As far as the 285s might need to do a little fender trimming depending on your wheel off set.

Looks solid. I don't like SPC UCAs though. I would swap them for JBAs personally.

Honest opinion. Skip the lift get a 0 offset wheel some 265/70r17's or 255/80r17 and a nice set of skids. I went all in on the lift and bigger tires and as great as it all is. The mpg hit isn't worth it if this is a daily.

If your dead set on doing it 1-1.5" front lift with atleast an add a leaf to maintain stock rake, stock uca, cab mount chop and pinchweld fold.
Get a 0 offset wheel or spacers to get your stock wheels to a 0 offset this will give a good stance while maintaining all the clearance.
A 3" front lift leaves you with very little down travel and the top out will drive you nuts. I set mine to 3" to account for a bumper install and spring sag, that was not an enjoyable few months.
Keep the lift low with the stock uca and you'll have far less wear and tear to deal with.
If you have to go 3" do not go anywhere near spc uca's mine made it 8k and i had play in every component, it's a common story out here unfortunately.

Some people manage 3 inch lift up front but it seems like a major hassle. Bad CV angles, ripping and replacing CV boots (more work than just replacing whole CV axles, the ECGS bushing, and rough riding due to limited down travel). Check out Tinkerer's Adventure on YouTube, he's a real engineer who might convince you that 2 inch front is a better move.

Looks like the shop quoted you replacement UCA bolts instead of bending your inner fenders with channellocks. That's good.

SPC UCAs have shitty inner pivot joints which fail after a year. Go for Freedom Off-road billet UCAs if you want adjustability.

Otherwise this is a decent budget lift.

285 tires won't fit with OEM wheel offset. Either get wheel spacers or new wheels with numerically smaller offset.
