Word of advice. Before you buy any ammo in bulk , try a box or two in the guns you plan to use it in. Here’s why I say this, I bought 1000 rounds of 9mm Remington Range ammo for range use. Had a new Glock 19 and an almost new Glock 17. My experience with these two guns is they’ll eat any and all ammo. Not so as far as Remington Range. It was cheap, that’s why I bought. Every 10 to 20 shots it failed to feed and other problems. I thought there was something wrong with the Glocks. Came back a day later with 4 different brands of 9mm. Haven’t had a misfire or failure to feed since. RR is crap. Now I won’t buy more that 100 rounds of anything until I’ve put 50 or more through my guns. I gave the left over Remington Range to a friend after warning him about that ammo. He too experienced problems with it. Try out ammo before you buy it in bulk.

Found the kimber in the closet with a stash of "purses." The reason why it wasn't so obvious was because it was inside a holster that looked like a hand clutch! Only found it upon cleaning out the purses.

Also the judge was buried on the seat cushion of the recliner. I thought it was a SW hammerless (because that was another box I had without a gun). To my surprise it was this judge with a brand new holster. The holster looks like it was preserved in a gun case because it literally has zero scratches.

Side note: For fun I went to the local shop to get an estimate on stuff and they offered $75 for the Sig P250 and $150 for the Glock 45 cal. I sold it all to a friend at family price and much better than the shop.

Found a neat set of jack daniels playing cards tin, moosehead bottle opener and a shoulder holster for the kimber. It's really cool to find out about someone through the things they collect!!

It's not necessarily the Federal brand, it's your gun does not like it. .22s are finicky when it comes to ammo.

I generally like Federal ammo, but do not shoot their .22 any more (other than the handful of bricks I still have...). They made great ammo for the shooting team in the 1996 Olympics, but IMHO today's .22 ammo is not as good as it used to be. I now shoot CCI, in various flavors.

Since you already have the ammo, you can practice clearing jam drills. :p

Yes ... I should have been more clear for StayinStock. 22LR is already a less-powerful bang due to size and any 22 plinker might have a smidge too strong of a return spring for a particular brand or even a particular batch. Even 9mm can do it.

And yes, I do plan to keep the 1800+ around for plinking, despite the "fail to fully eject a spent shell and lock the slide", "leave the spent casing in the chamber", other issues ... unless I can find another sucker ... are you interested? :boink: In 2 or 3 years the duds will be gone.

FYI, Federal makes many different 22 ammo varieties.

I've never had a problem with AutoMatch. You might want to avoid their SV variety (american eagle I think...) in a semi auto.

When the G44 first came out, they didn't like 36 grain bullets. I haven't heard of the issue lately, but I don't think Glock changed anything either.

I was surprised to find out that CCI Standard Velocity will function fine in a G44. Usually, standard velocity ammo does not have energy to cycle an auto. Again, every gun is different - even the same model guns can be different.

2 or 3 years???? You need to shoot more. :D

I just get tired of spending as much time clearing jams as reloading the magazines every 10 rounds. :infantry:

So far CCI Standard has functioned fine in my MKIV, 10/22, and 15-22 without issues. A must have ammo if you want to use a can on a semi auto but not have the issues of subs not cycling.

I'm starting with this, if the Taurus doesnt like it I'm sure the old Browning Buckmark won't mind it.

The 9mm was just because it was on sale, I have no idea why I only bought one box.

Yup! Cs20 I bought 2 yrs ago. It's been fun to ride. It gets me over 50 mph no problem. Opted for a higher gear instead of a low one so I could go faster. But think it's time to pass it on. I haven't had much time to ride this past year.

At a couple prior suppressor events, the TX22 is being used as a host more than any other 22 pistol...and they're just absolutely running...even when they get dirty with hundreds of people putting rounds thru them

I ran about 150 thru mine yesterday with no issues, gave it a bath afterwards. I had forgotten how much fun .22's are to shoot.
