Doesn't make sense when New SR bumpers can be had for $240.

Meso spare fuse holder. Aluminum gas cap holder. Genuine Toyota bed lights. Bed molle racks. Ammo case storage under hood. In-bed spare tire. Automatic underhood lights. Gooey glurp on frame.
Back until about 1950, all my relatives painted all their car and truck bumpers black. Different reason, though.

Thanks for the pic. Are you saying you bought black bumper covers? You could easily take them off. sand and spray them for the cost of a spray can. You wanted to keep the white covers?

Why would you take a brand new truck and spray paint the bumper instead of just getting a black bumper?

Save $250 by modifying a brand new $40k truck with spray painted bumpers? Throwing good money after bad.

If you want to do it cheap, why not plasti-dip? Scuff and spray bomb will look like ass, and there's no going back.

For $240 and some labor you can get black SR plastic. Will look good out of the box. The black won't chip, peel or scratch. Can always undo to factory.

    vs

Small $ for paint, and a bunch more labor (prep). It may or may not look good depending on skill. Will chip, peel, and scratch. No going back to factory without a trip to a body shop.

It's your truck, do what you want, but I know which path I'd take.

Cheap rattle can spray paint on a new $50K truck?? Hell no...

If I couldn't afford a $240 factory black bumper, I definitely would not have bought the truck.

That looks good. The first pic is sanded and the second is painted?

If I don't like it, why can't I go buy the same OEM covers to get back to factory?

Some have done it by buying OEM covers. Some have done it with paint. Some just bought the TRD Pro.

I don't know what to say to this guy. I don't think he wants me to remove the bumper covers and paint them.

I know someone on here did paint their bumper corners and it looked good. I just would not use a can of Rustoleum. I don't think you will be happy after a few months...

The factory black bumper for $240 seems like a good option for sure.
