Finished the driver’s side bed cubby install. Biggest issue is the rivnuts. Messed up two of them so I had to wait for Amazon to deliver more.

They say every seat has an ass, but not every ass fits that seat.. And you can't please 100% of people 100% of the time, and in your case that might be you with the Taco, sorry you are not loving it as much as most of us are loving ours, but your ass wants what your ass wants and nothing can change that... lol.. Nothing worse (vehicle wise) than being stuck in traffic everyday in something you don't like driving...

Nothing to thrilling. I needed a roof rack to carry my kayak I got this week. I can't carry it in the bed when we are pulling our trailer because the bed is full.

I went with the Toyota OEM rack because the load bars are out of the way when not in use and therefore won't create any noise.....Hopefully.

the install was easy, took about a hour and a half because I went slow. It was a beautiful sunny day, a break from the rain.

The kayak is an Old town Loon 106 Angler. Very different than my previous ocean kayaks....much smaller. Flat water fishing

The meso flip key was like one of the first things I bought for my truck. Never used it, I hated how floppy it felt. Destroyed a transponder trying to pull it out of my original key. Then I was like I can live without this and never looked back. But I have an “h” key so. Plus I found lots of other things to fiddle with.

Personally I’m not a fan of beadlocks, just cuz. I like the teal better. Are they both the same width? And is the Turkish rug pattern part of your upgrade as well?

I suppose I could make some floor mats for the tacoma with the rug. Perhaps trim to fit for the bed? :notsure:

I’ve got the rt trail. But 275/70 17. They look good. Been great off-road. And not crazy loud on road.

Always looking to modify! Check out my Instagram @TacoPandaTRD
Swap out the factory lower shanked bolt and you won’t have to replace the spherical bearing for a while. The shanked bolt puts uneven forces on one side causing the spherical bearing to twist and wear out prematurely. I was chasing a clicking sound for a year before coming across this thread. The factory Tacoma shanked bolt can be replaced by a smooth 4Runner bolt or a 303 belmeteric bolt. Links are in the thread. I went with the 4Runner bolt as it was easier to source and in stock at my dealership. With the factory shanked Tacoma bolt my Elka spherical bearing only lasted 18k before needing to be replaced. I installed the 4runner bolt when the bearings were replaced and I’m currently at 38k with no issues.
