Hey yall I have a audio build tacoma (2017)
300AMP Excessive Amperage alt (plug n play)
    14,000watt RetroPRO56 lithium
and a front battery delete. I’ve noticed my voltage is 12.9-13.1 at idle which is scary cuz all this equipment is brand new. I’m wondering what I can do on such a new truck to do boost voltage to 14’s. PS: on my bass knob is shows. 13.3-13.4 which might be more accurate due to it being directly connected to battery.

    Any help?

You need to use a tuner to bump the output voltage.

new vehicles don't run at 14v all the time anymore. most top out at 13.8, but 13.2 is typical as well.

Because no one has mentioned it, your battery does not control your voltage when the engine is running. Your alternator does. Since you didn’t say anything about upgrading the alternator or tuning the ECU, you should not be surprised that your voltage has not changed.

Why do you want to change the voltage? Does your battery require it? I looked it up and it didn’t say anything about needing a higher charging voltage.

I got a deal since they tuned over my KDMax tune. Did it because it came with a CARB certification. AGMs require the alternator to put out over 14v or the battery never fully charges.

Oops. I read that as “amp” not “alt”.
