Are you disappointed in me for a trading in my Tacoma to get a 4Runner?

You can do an ATF replacement through the feed lines into the cooler at the front of the truck. I'd say it does. :D

Might not be as big as one on a Taco or a pre-2019 Tundra, but it's there.

You can fluid film the inside of the hatch mechanism, same with the tailgate mechanism on the taco.

Seems like a grey area, as it's not a separate unit like the Tacos get. Let's agree that we're both right.

This seems like a good idea. After my issue this past summer, I learned that it's not super uncommon to have issues with the latch.

It took me into my 60s before I realized that replacing my vehicle every few years was silly and expensive. Just saying.

So what you're saying is I can still keep doing it for a while? :p In all seriousness I'm definitely going to put a lot of thought into it and I'm not rushing into anything. Realistically I know that to get rid of my truck would be stupid. But. I actually never shared this on Tacomaworld (I don't think) but before I bought my first Tacoma, the 2014, I actually sat in a brand new 4Runner and it felt like it was literally made for me. I looked at my sister and I told her it fit like a glove. I didn't even actually drive it though because the price was too high for me at the time. Now that I have the opportunity to get one, especially one that is more technologically advanced in terms of creature comfort and safety, it's an intriguing thought. The fact that it's made in Japan, is a rugged body on boxed frame vehicle, and holds its value like gold just makes it even more intriguing. I'm not going to make any decisions until next spring unless there is a once-in-a-lifetime deal that I just have to take advantage of. Some things I'm going to leave on my truck but I definitely will be removing some parts to sell and others to keep.

    :fistbump:

It's been awhile since I've said it, but I shall repeat, the 5th gen 4Runner is one of the best vehicles Toyota have ever made. Period.

I was actually hardcore trying to get one when I ended up in my four-door Taco.

I'ma get me one of these when my daughter starts doing sports

I think it basically comes down to
    1) do you want / need a truck bed
    2) do you need more interior space for passengers / protection from the elements

also you can get the manual transfer case on the 4Runner

if I didn’t need a truck bed, I’d get a suv. You can try and seal up a truck bed, but it’s always going to somehow gets dust or water in there.

I’m guessing 5th gen 4Runners are going to be holding value like the 2/2.5 gen tundras until this new powertrain is proven. I still think pricing on any of the new gens across the lineup are a hard sell for people when you are starting at $50k and can easily reach $75k or more for what you want.

If you ever need a suggestion for a new poll.
Do you wear underwear underneath or on the outside of long johns(underwear)
Or no underwear at all because 'long' underwear
    is your underwear?

    Underwear is highly overrated.

Depends on how nice and soft the long johns are. If they are scratchy I'm going to wear underwear but if they're pretty soft I probably won't

    I'm confused.

Are you saying that you wear tighty whities under your long underwear?

    We had that debate lastnight.
Apparently, some people (not pointing any fingers at my buddy:D)
feel the need to wear boxer shorts on the OUTSIDE of their long underwear.
    :notsure:
