    Hello fellow Taco heads!

Just picked up a 24 Limited Hybrid that comes stock with 18" wheels and am looking to put some winters on it. Finding a lot on line from older Tacos / 4 runners / FJ's etc, Wondering if anyone can tell me will the previous gen (2,3) 17" or 16" wheels fit properly on the Limited Hybrid?

Thanks in advance and apologies if this has been covered like 1000+ times alredy.

    Richard.

I think 16” won’t work due to disk brake caliper clearance. Possibly some 17”.

    100% the answer is no.

Your compatible list is 2022-2024 Tundra/Sequoia specs. Any previous gen Tacoma is a no-go. Different hub. And on the hybrid you have a significantly larger disc brake rotor.

Suggest you keep your shopping within 2024 Tacoma or 2022-2024 Tundra options.

    6x139.7
    95.1mm bore

Your OEM limited wheels are a +55mm offset

Taco wheels.jpg I am looking for some 18" wheels and tires too replace my stock 17's on my 24' SR5. Anyone looking for a set of 17's with tires, 6600 miles let me know.Truck Pic.jpg
I just installed some XF-220 18"x8 0mm offset with Toyo Open Country A/T lll
265/70R18 116T. Look great but due allow about 2" of tire to stick past fender but if I do a neg. offset the tire will rub on full turns. Went from 29" to 32" height.
Big negative is that XF Offroad does not cut lug holes big enough to allow a sleeved lug nut to be installed, which is needed to get more than half a lugs threads on the lug bolt. Toyota thing with short lug bolts and sleeved nuts. Spec says half the nuts threads is enough for regular driving, maybe not for rock and trail though.

Go with 18" for your winter setup, not all 17" gonna clear your brakes, if they do, they are cutting it very close and with winter driving you don't want junk stuck between the wheel and calipers if the gap is too tight

    18x7.5, -55mm offset.

If you fancy the chrome look, I have the mirror backs (with factor ppf & turn signal cuts), as well as the chrome grille and soon enough the upper bumper.

BaltimoreMD: it seems like you've done some de-chroming of your 2024 limited. Do you have some photos of what you've done, that you could post in a new thread?

I've done a few posts on Tacoma 4G of bits and pieces (wheels, mirror backs/lettering, grille). I've got one more to go before I'll call it done, which is the upper front bumper.

Currently in the process of painting a color match to swap out.

I'll post a completed set when I finish, likely a few weeks (I need to wet sand, polish, then I think I'll PPF it before pulling the truck face off for a second time.

I'll do a mirror post or cross post here when I finish

Isn't the chrome portion of the wheel actually plastic?

Yeah. Assuming that was done for two reasons: to ensure tone/reflection match with other chrome vehicle parts, and to minimize the god awful look of partially delaminated chrome on alloy wheels abundant on the roads today. It's epoxied to the alloy hard as can be. Here's what it looks like from the backside.

You would think they would have used black weights on a black wheel. Make them look a little less obvious.
