My wife informed me that our driver’s license needs to be upgraded by the end of 2025, some security thing. Otherwise they won’t let me into Canada or Mexico. I really don’t have any travel plans to either country. To get this enhanced license we need, SS card, birth certificate, marriage license. Wife told me no smart ass comments at the Secretary of State

 

Happy Monday of this quasi work week. Tons of shit to get done and nobody being productive or feeling compelled to reply.

Should have been simple. took all damn day. That included collecting and returning scaffolding. Peak is 14 ft high. This house is a builder grade cookie cutter build. Thrown together. Every time I do something it's a shit show. Here's what I found when I removed the run of the mill "boob light'...



worth noting that no one has been behind this light since the house was built. No one has so much as changed a bulb in it. This was done at install. So that had to come out. Trip to Lowe's

Replaced with this. I could do pull up from this once it was installed.



Then the labor of wiring. 8 junctions in all. Fortunately it went together balanced well.

So yeah. Sitting under it this AM was satisfying after all my spitting and fuming yesterday. I was stuck on that scaffold all day and it was a gorgeous 65 dry and sunny....and my bike, cold and alone in the garage!

Got on a set of fresh tracks this morning through this kinda country. Big woods! Love it. After 2 hours, never caught up with him. Headed back as didn't want to be gone all day as my father was back at camp. Went in West....came out East. Land navigation isn't so hard.

 

Sounds about right. It usually takes three times as long and costs twice as much as you think it will.
