Good Morning all.

Been away from the internets fo a few days, taking a much needed break.

So as you all know, I completed the final round of interviews on Nov 14th. I interviewed with the company Chief Information Officer directly. At the end of the interview, he gave me a nice compliment - "You are a top candidate. I rarely am asked to interview people, only those who are considered the top applicants are scheduled to interview with me, so congratulations." I am hopeful about this one, but haven't received the final decision as yet. I heard from the HR person late last week, they had been finishing up all the interviews, and will be making a decision very soon. The HR person is U.S. based (company HQ is in Sweden), so I am hoping to hear back this week, before HR guy takes Thanksgiving holiday. I will let you all know. And as always, thank you all so much for your continued support and best wishes.

Temptations are either of no interest to a cat, or pure crystal meth on steroids. About 15 years ago, my ex and I had 5 cats, and every one of them would go absolutely insane for those treats. We used to buy the mega tub of them at WalMart, and would go through them very quickly.

 

This pic brings back a ton of memories for me. My dad and I would tent camp when we went Elk / Deer / Moose hunting. He built a small wood stove (for heat, had a propane stove for cooking) that was small, but worked very well in a 10' x 18' tent. He had a couple plywood grub boxes, and always has a large supply of Dinty Moore. Most of the canned goods in the grub boxes were older than I was..... if the can was bulging, it went in the trash pile, but otherwise, we would eat it. Never got sick. Last time we hunted together was 2008. To this day, I can taste Dinty Moore Beef Stew. Good stuff

 

There was frost on the roof Saturday morning, but the temp read at 39 at dawn (dog needed to pee, so I had to show her the way)

I can usually find this for around $10/bag, it has a good flavor. 1 cup will get me arse into gear!

We always have a few cans on the shelf. This one was a little sun faded from sitting in the window, but it actually didn’t expire until next year. Made me feel thoughtful. My Dad restocked last time, and I’m not sure his health is going to allow him to come up again.
