Finally replaced the burnt out compressor in the driver bed pocket with a new one!
Went with another cheap Amazon special, AllTop.
This one’s got 2 cylinders and states 10CFM and about a 50% duty cycle.
I used it outside the truck with the clips a few times before hand, this thing pumps!
Will fill all four of my 35’s from about 12psi to 35psi in about 8 minutes.
I also re-wired the whole thing with bigger 8awg wire and a 100amp breaker as the old compressor only needed 12awg with a 50 amp due to it being half the power /draw.

Also too some time and made the rats nest a little better. Routed stuff cleaner and put like together this way, even though it still looks ‘messy’…

Shines up the truck inside and out. Vacuumed, Armor-All’d the inside, washed and waxed the exterior, and gave the underside and frame a good hand wash with all the mud residue from soggy dry lake bed in Johnson Valled left over.
No pictures really, but this truck looks better than it has since last summer !

Not really updates, but some maintenance!

September I had to replace the evaporator core inside the dash…
Lotta work for a pretty cheap part!

Replaced the expansion valve and filter as well while I was in there.

Got some friends that are getting into offroad, so we went on a short overnight trip from stoddard wells road, up to slash X, and across the valley towards the megaphone. Next day after camp, took Afton canyon out.

Eclectic group with many different vehicles!

About 130 miles all together, shown with the dashed light blue line on my OnX:

Of course I couldn’t drive this thing without doing some damage… this has been the theme for the last year it seems.
    IMG_4326.jpg
Smacked a rocky side wall of the trail doing about 60mph…
I’m not too stoked on these Amazon 315’s. They’re E load, but only 2 ply and seems to rip easy and fold easy. This is the second wheel I’ve bent with them, and second tire that’s been toasted on the side wall too.

The next set will be BFG’s again.

Update on the December 8th trip…

Mostly drove the 4Runner but let some buddies drive the Tacoma during the days.
    I took over at night…
AAAnd of course got stuck and pulled out by Kyle!
    IMG_2308.jpg

But had some good jumps at the sand dune…

    https://youtube.com/shorts/qFchvGDtt7c?si=Qe21F3zd6FLnBbed

Unfortunately my “eh it was fine last trip in October, so I’ll just do a torque check /inspection after this trip” mindset was not in harmony with the truck.

Lost an outter tie rod on the passenger side, luckily truck was moving slow and nothing else happened beside the Japanese *uwu*

    IMG_4675.jpg IMG_4676.jpg

A borrowed bolt from Kyle’s skid plate & some washers from a nearby burned out campfire got the truck home.

    PSA: PREP YOUR SHIT !!

    I know it, I knew it, and I didn’t listen…

Got some new heim misalignment spacers from kartec, HD 5/8” bolts and lock washers, and drilled the spindles to the bigger diameter.
I still need to double shear the outters..

    Truck is fixed for now!
Pics to come when I take them.
