We had one of those stupid cap things on a '12 Jeep Liberty. I think there's marks you can put on the engine oil dipstick to check it actually. If not, Amazon sells them for stupid cheap.

We actually had to get rid of that POS due to the transmission failing. Can't be a Chrysler product without a bad transmission

Hopefully a new daily van, I bought the first one because 1) it was cheap 2) it was in better shape than my daily. After running it for 7 years I'm spoiled by the versatility, it will do 85% of what a truck will do.

Try putting 15 full sheets of sheetrock in a Tacoma

These vans will do it with ease on a rainy day even.

Maybe if I were seeing deer I would be in a better mood I ain't see nothing yesterday, not even a bird.

 

On my way home yesterday I got behind a pilot car with this truck sammiched in between two of them hauling a CAT 352. The one in front had to keep slowing down cause the winding roads and this guy not being able to get over 30mph. The trailer had 5 axles in the back, and 2 in the front.

He finally reached his destination, the power plant in Belews Creek.

He pulled off to the right side so he could square up to make the turn into the gate.

Only one problem, the road was higher on the gate side and the trailer was low. Really low.

Guess what happened?








I heard it start scraping pavement, then..............it stopped. Trailer bottomed out on the road.





I heard the airbrakes and heard the engine start on the trailer so he could detach the tongue and unload the hoe. I went around him cause I wanted to go sit in the treestand for a possible deer sighting.


He was on the trailer when I got around him. It was gone this morning.




When I got home I looked up how much a CAT 352 weighs

 

Stopped by O'Reilly auto to grab an oil filter for the skid steer and this GTO was in the parking lot. @RustyGreen tell us what year it is


I know cause it was on the rear license plate.







Oil filter was a tad bigger than the one that was on it, it fit though. Oil needed changing about 75 hours ago

 

Morning shop crew

2 more days of work for me. They are attempting to pack a full weeks worth of frustration in. Haha, nothing new there. Sold boat that went from, "no hurry " to, " I want it now".

 

Hey Rusty, if you need some parts there's a pick-n-pull yard not far with a fresh Chrysler that came in last week. Some of the parts may interchange

 

Same here, tomorrow is it for me here this week and the boss is running around like a chicken with his head cut off. They got to have this NOW
