Has anyone used Toyotapartsdeals.com? I’m just trying to make sure it’s a real site selling actual OEM parts. Link for reference.

I've used the "hondapartsdeal" website with no issues. The same company owns both and a ton of other part websites.

I recall people complained about hassles with returns, but I order from there and have never had a problem.

How bad is the returns? And I’m looking to buy a hood. As much as I can fix one with dents, I would prefer it not have any. I’m kinda picky about my stuff.

 

They're alright.

Recently, I had a part that had been marked "Ready to Ship" for three weeks. I contacted them, and four days later, I was told that the part was back ordered but should ship soon. Two days after that, I got the part in the mail.

 

No matter who you order from, large items like that are subject to special shipping requirements and the returns aren’t going to be the same as shipping back an instrument cluster. Also, UPS likes to destroy big heavy things like that just because they can.

 

If that is in case, call the dealer or vendor, they will send you a replacement. No problem.

If none, then bring lawyer in, so those idiots can be sued and won't happen again to other products. But if it was in accidents such as snowing, or flipped over, you can get replacement in matter of time.

If it was me, I'd go to the custom shop to pick the big product up, such as hood.. small things such as total stage 1, I can have it delivered to my place. If damages, I'd call and get replacement.

i was just going to have it sent to my shop. I just wanted to know how difficult it would be in terms of returns. Especially since I’m trying to sway from dealerships as the hood from them is 200 dollars more. Like I said I can fit it no problem, but I’d prefer to not start mudding up a brand new hood.

 

I have not bought the hood before, so I have no idea for hood returns.. Check the website and see if they have returns policy for their products.

A friend of mine bought aftermarket hood for his Mustang which arrived damaged, he got money back and sent the hood to paint shop in order to be repaired. It was successful, though. If it wasn't, then he would have kept the stock hood on.
