    The bushing is shot. It steers fine, just a lot of rattling going on. They don't sell the bushing separately :(

    Pioneer CD, Megaloud/JBL amps, Rockford/Polk speakers.

    Intermediate shaft? Guessing so, had mine replaced last year. The joint was just rusty AF and getting hard to turn the wheel at times. It loosened up for a while when I shot some PB Blaster at it, but safety wise better to just have it replaced.

    You are correct, Chris.

    What happened on mine is the rubber bushings deteriorated over time allowing the knuckle ("U-joint thing") to flop around.

    I checked around for the shaft & they want about $280 for a Dorman. It's different than the OEM & has no bushings.

    Whether or not that's good or bad, I don't know. :notsure:The OEM is about $240, but I have to order it. I'll just go with the OEM.

    So, no Bradenton for me. Didn't really want to drive all the way over there just for dinner anyway. :)

    Oh I know Timm. I've been an off & on again mechanic since I was a kid.

    I worked for Toyota for 7 years & International Harvester before that in my younger years.

    Main thing is not to move the steering wheel when it's disconnected. No one likes a crooked steering wheel, lol.
