Here's what I do. If I'm buying it, I'm getting reliable over fancy. If she's buying something big like an appliance or car and it's something I don't recommend, she's responsible for service/maintenance/repairs.
When it was time to get her a "new" car, I said you're getting a Toyota/Lexus. She said she wanted something like an Audi. I said ok but you're completely responsible for everything. Guess what she drives......

I had an Audi A4 from 08-13. Had absolutely 0 issues with the car. The thing that killed me was the cost of regular maintenance. Geeeesh....

Speed Queen's are built for longevity. There are better options if you actually want your clothes to be clean.

I would look at Miele instead.

Big Audi fan. I got my wife a Q5 for her 30th birthday 5 years ago. Absolutely love the car. For a mid size SUV, is very quick and handles great. Easy to work on too. Zero issues with it. Only thing ive needed a computer for was holding the ebrake open when doing the rear pads and rotors. Looking at a Q7/SQ7 in the next couple of years, since the carseat is a bit of a tight firt.

My wife hit a deer in her Sequoia a couple weeks ago. Her rental is a Q5 s line, that little sumbitch is quick as hell, I was really surprised when I drove it and mashed it to the floor.

I get it but when you're looking for a good reliable USED car, you typically don't look at German cars. We found her a super clean 2013 Lexus GS350 with only 57k miles.

I have to swap out my rack and pinion, and install my 5100's this weekend. Does anyone have a hard concrete surface I can use? My driveway is crush n run and I'm skeptical about usually it for such an in-depth job.

    Thanks!

    The little turbo does well.
They're super smooth too. Cruise control at 110 feels like 70 in most of the other cars ive driven.

Yeah, a 10 year old used audi might be a different story for sure. Lot more variables then. I got her a 2016 in 2019 with 20k miles. Kind of the perfect timeframe to buy an audi. Just old enough to have dropped a decent amount in price, but still feels like a new car.

I haven’t had a stomach bug or food poisoning in probably 10 years or more. Last night made up for it. Holy crap. Straight up did not have a good time. 5 hours of constant switching positions only to get it wrong a couple of times.
