Show off your fish

it's not exactly fish, but I took my niece from Arizona out crab snaring for the first time. She wanted to limit out; we didn't, but we went home with 14 rock crabs:

my niece in AZ got into bass fishing this year. I gave her a couple of old Cabela's XML spinning rods that my dad (her grandpa) used for drop shotting.. she's only ever used spinning rods.
i dunno what she caught it on, but she sent me this pic of a 5 lb bucketmouth (her PB) she caught yesterday

funny story I’m personally allergic to shellfish, but I’m a limit and have fun pulling pots, my wife and some other family members really appreciate it lol

do you salt the water or add other seasonings?

I just steam them - put a steaming rack in the bottom of the pot with about 3/4" water and load up the pot.

takes less than 5 min to get the water boiling, load the crabs, put a lid on it and then turn the flame down (as long as I see a little steam coming out of the lid) and steam them for about 23 min.



my pot only fit 8 of this limit. the other 2 are in the pot as a 2nd batch
